What Customers Are Saying
The Skil 40V Brushless String Trimmer is praised for its power, ease of use, and long battery life. Customers highlight its ability to handle tough grass and weeds, and appreciate the convenience of a cordless, battery-powered design. The trimmer is described as lightweight and maneuverable, though some taller users find the handle length to be a bit unwieldy. While a few customers have experienced issues with the trimmer line feeding mechanism, the overall consensus is that this is a high-quality, reliable string trimmer.

Would Not RecommendIf you reading this review I just saved you $160! The tool is great until you have to replace the line. It's impossible, whoever designed this hates people. Thirty minutes trying, angry and frustrated I ended up smashing it to the concrete! I only used it twice and it's in the trash. If you insist getting after reading this, do this....take it out of the bix and before you go out to use it, pretend you have to change the line. You're welcome!

Great all around
Would RecommendBattery lasts a long time and recharges super fast. There's some sort of fan on the charger.. great idea. It is on the heavy side for me but I'm working with it. It's super quiet too.

SKIL customer service is not reliable.
Would Not RecommendItem came with incomplete bolts. Called SKIL to have them sending missing bolt. It took three phone calls (one very rude) and two weeks for the bolt to delivered.
