I ordered this trash can as a replacement for the same model we've had for 15 years. The new one is just as sleek and sturdy. We love it.

Nearly perfect
It’s sleek, resists fingerprints, fits nicely into smaller areas, the lid rises easily, but doesn’t fly up or smack the cabinets or wall behind it, and it closes slowly and silently. This trash can if perfect in every way, except one: the only trash bags that fit it are Simple Human brand, which are quite nice, but not a great price. There’s some sloppy overhand with standard size trash bags.

Simply the best!
One can never go wrong with a simplehuman trash can. This one proved exactly right for our kitchen - a good size, slender enough to be sleek, with a fabulous soft open and close. The finish IS truly fingerprint free. We love it! We have buying simple human trash cans for a decade now! This brand never disappoints. And we got the liners that fo with this beautify too, of course. Oh what a joy to put in a liner that just fits and one does not need to wrestle with and tie and knot on and all that. ...

Rectangular Step Can
Excellent trash can, very smooth operation and durable. This is our second one, first one was/is probably 15 years old and was open/closed 20 times a day. It actually still worked but a little slow, just wanted to replace. Thank you for continuing this product.

Great Trash Can
We had a trash can like this but the top cracked and it wouldn’t open. I had a lot of the J trash liners and this fit the space exactly! Love it!

A solid buy from a company with a good reputation
Would RecommendIt's almost the perfect trash can for kitchens. Soft close lid is great. Black plastic trim is tacky. Installing garbage bags is tricky. I'd but it again.

Great step can. Keeps things clean. I buy the J bags and they fit perfectly.

Makes life easier
Through the week I add whatever garbage I have to the can and the evening before garbage pickup I empty the litter box into the sack. The can looks good and bags fit perfectly. The 30L would have been a better size for me but I was afraid of getting something too small. I first saw the simplehuman garbage can at a friend's house and was impressed when I emptied it for her and put in a new bag that exactly fit the can.

Messy lid
I don’t know why the lid isn’t “finger proof”. It gets very messy with the kids
