Ratings & Reviews for simplehuman 40 Liter White Plastic Plastic Wheeled Indoor/Outdoor Kitchen Step Trash Can

So far, so good

We love this trash can for our kitchen! Fits perfectly in the small space we needed it to!

Perfect

For the arrow space available in my kitchen, this slim, nice looking trash fit the bill. I also spent extra for the trash bags. WELL worth it. I recommend both.

Great Trash Can!

Awesome trashcan. Perfect size and slim like the description says so fits great in tight spaces.

second one broke

terrible! first one lid broke replacement broke too!

Love it!

This is my second one. One for trash, one for recycling. I love the fact that they lock!

Love it

Compact, so easy to work and empty. Happy we found it.

Super

We had a slight problem but it was taken care of to my full satisfaction. Will deal with you again

dog proof garbage can

i'm not nuts about it. i had a metal one (simplehuman) so the plastic seems a little flimsy. plus it keeps me out sometimes. that is however getting better. i def liked my other one better even if i did have to put in on the counter. it gets two stars because it does keep the dog out!!

Great Product

I really like everything about my kitchen trash bin. The size, color, and durability. It's easy to just wipe down to keep clean. Thanks

Wow!

Had a similar model in a different brand. It worked well for some years until the plastic step on lid lifter broke. Looking for a replacement I found the simplehuman model. Ordered it and received it quickly. Omg, how have I survived without this step lift lid model by simplehuman. Superior design and performance. Thanks simplehuman. Love ya!!!

Great

This pail is the bomb! The best kitchen pail I ever purchased, hands free. Customer service backs their products too.

near perfect

I love this trash can... simple, nice version of white (not off white), Love the slow close feature and the fact it works even if you use your hand to open the lid, and because I have a dog that loves chicken bones the lock is perfect. I had to take apart the lock and lubricate it because it was just to stiff to function properly. No worries because the first trash can I received had a faulty air compressor and it would not allow the lid to shut all the way. So you very nicely replaced it. That ...

40 Liter slim step can

I love my new 40 liter slim step can. It takes up very little space, and the pedal comes in very handy when my hands are full. I also love the way the lid can be situated to remain open for those times when I have a large amount of garbage to dispose of or when preparing to replace the liner. The back wheels on the can are also a very convenient feature. All in all, it is a very well designed garbage can.

Back for another one...

This our 2nd "slim step"...1st one lasted 12 years. Appears to have the same rugged quality. I'll let you know in another 12 years

Great Product

At first I was skeptical that it wasn't large enough. Have now had it for a little over 3 weeks and it is large enough. I really like the color. It goes perfect with my new updated kitchen and counter tops. Easy to wipe clean and is very durable. Glad I didn't get stainless steel.

Solid and Works Well

Moving parts mostly seem high quality; doesn't wobble; wheels can make a big difference when it's full of heavy stuff or tucked in a small space (something it excels at if your place isn't huge). Wheels sometimes work against it. It can slide back if you're not careful, which can make the back end of the lid hit whatever's behind it when you activate it with your foot. A couple of no-slip stickers on the bottom fixed this issue, just wish it cam with them. Locking toggle is a little cheap. It'...

The Right One

Just what I needed, slim for a specific space. My only complaint is that it moves too much, so I rated it 4 stars though 4.5 is probably more accurate. Even heavier stainless cans move, so why am I complaining.
