Great for dogs

We have a dog that will get into any trash can but not this one. Built the best we had yet and like the self losing lid.

Not Dog Proof!

The only reason I purchased this garbage can was because of the lock to keep my 2 dogs (German Shep 100lbs & Pit mix 60 lbs) out! They have figured out that if they knock it over they can get the lid open. When I pick the trash can up the lid is still in the locked positioin. This has happened 3 times now. The only explanation I can come up with is, when pushed over the trash can racks and the lid will pop open. The quality is good, and I like the pedal with slow close. But, I liked my old trash...

Love this trash can

I have had 2 stainless steel kitchen trash cans and had to remove the inner plastic can, put the trash bag (which is to big) in that try to hook it so it would stay up. This is nice because I can fold the trash bag down over the top and it stays. The tall kitchen trash bags fit perfectly and I like that the lid will stay up on its own if you want and I can lock it when the grandbabies visit.

Nice can for the money

The lid closes smoothly and slowly. There is a lock on the top front in case you have a digger in your house. It's nice but what can I say it is a garbage can. Don't pinch my fingers and we'll get along just fine.

Fantastic

I have been in a constant battle with my dog getting into the trash and making a mess whenever I leave the house. This product comes with a built in pet lock on the lid and the lid locks into the can very well. Now when I leave the house it gets locked. Even when he knocks it over he can't open it. Fantastic!!!

great garbage can

This a great garbage can! It can be locked to keep pets out. I love the slow, quiet closing lid. Easy to use.

Good quality for a reasonable price

The garbage can comes with the lid unattached and my husband had to struggle to get it snapped into place. Once that was completed, however, the can functioned as promised and I really like the quiet closing lid. We haven't had to use the pet latch since fortunately our dog does not attempt to get into the trash, but I can see where this would be a useful feature. The step-open feature works better than on any other can I have used.

Best Trashcan EVER!

I didn't want to spend $50 on a trashcan. But I'm so glad I did and would do it again. It securely holds the trashcan in place. The lid opens with the foot pedal and SLOWLY closed QUIETLY! Also, you can lock the lid. So if you have messy kids or dogs, this is the trash can for you!

Good lock

Sturdy lock for about half the price of the all metal cans. We need edit to keep the dogs out. They tipped it once and it stayed locked. Since then they haven't tried again. The only bad thing is the bag has a tendency to slip down, but we might not have the right type of bags for it.

Nice but too big

This product seemed very well designed and durable. I liked the slow closing lid feature. However, it was bigger than I realized for the space we had so I exchanged it for a smaller one.

Not pet proof

This is a nice, solid can with a step controlled lid and a "pet proof latch". The latch works, but the can is a little top heavy and the bottom of the can is open and a dog who raids garbage can knock it over and pull the bag out from the bottom. I'm going to have to build something that prevents a tip-over - i'm considering a wooden box for a holder or a bungee cord and an eyehook attached to the wall. Good luck to you. "LOOK NO HANDS"

This can is the perfect size for me and my husband and I love the no hands needed feature to throw something away. A little pricey but well made.

Great for animals

i have 2 dogs and 2 cats, the locking option is amazing with them. My boxer knows how to step on the foot pedal and open the garbage, when you lock it, he can't get in no matter what. Also great of you have small children.
