Too light. If you put it up against the wall. The guide will rub the wall.

Great quality

Our other kitchen appliances are black so this blends in perfectly. Well worth the price.

Step on trash can

Nice sturdy trash can that gives "hands free" opening and closing. We use them in the animal meal kitchen at the Western North Carolina Nature Center. Our first one lasted several years; our second one not so long.

Great kitchen trash can

Pros: * foot pedal * slow close on lid so it doesn’t just slam down * sturdy and well made * looks nice Cons *It took the two of us 15 minutes fighting with the lid to get it to snap on since it fit so tightly.

Keeps our puppy out of the trash

A Great Trash Can with Step On Opening

When we were shopping at Lowe's we went to the aisle where all the trash cans were on display. There were many different types i including regular take off lids, etc. We decided to go for the step on accuated lid/slow closing trash can. To our complete and total supprise, on the day that we were there, there was no one trash can comlpetely assembled and made opperational! Trashinator 4800

Functions excellent, looks great in the kitchen, easy to clean, and is a steal at less than fifty bucks. The bags fit well. A bumper keeps the trashcan away from the wall so the top opens and closes without scraping the wall. Wicked smart. Love the veterans discount and parking!

Hinges broke in 6 months.

Cheap plastic hinges broke within six months. Of course just past the date when I could return it. Do not buy this garbage.

Looks good, doesn't keep dogs out

Was really hoping that by spending a little extra to get a locking can I could keep my dog out. Left for an hour and came back to trash all over the house. To be fair its av husky so with enough time I'm sure he could get into anything that isn't bear proof.

This Trashcan is GARBAGE!

Our 70-lb 11-year-old Collie mix has started behaving badly in her old age, knocking over our kitchen trash can and devouring all the most delectable food scraps, as well as a diaper or two. Gross! Very solid solid and elegant design, step-to-open feature works perfectly, holds a kitchen trash bag tightly/fully open so you can fit the max amount of garbage in the bag....and it is easy to change bags. This can makes the third one we have in the home!
