Planned obsolescence

This has been good to keep indoor pets out of the trash, However, after a few years of use the lid will not stay attached to the can anymore. When the foot lever is stepped on, the lid comes off requiring reattachment. Having to reattach it negates the convenience of having a foot lever to open it. There appears to be no way to repair it, as the plastic that attaches to a bar in the back of the can has worn out. It continues to come off when trying to raise the lid with the foot lever. My favorite Trash Can Ever!

I love this trash can. Didn't really want a $100 stainless steel one, so this was the perfect match. You can use regular size 13gallon trashbags with it.

Only one issue

Black plastic shell is a dust and pet hair magnet. Very "static-y". Otherwise awesome value, great design, great value compared to the similar model in stainless steel.

It's a trach can...

Love this can. The old trash can we had, the kids loved to hear the lid SLAM shut.This has the slow close lid that you only hear a quiet "tap" when it closes. Another feture I liked is the bar on the back that keeps the can off the wall so that it operates correctly. Lets a 13 gal bag fill up completely, no waisted space. Perfect way to make your trash can CHILD PROOF :)

Our toddler kept throwing everything away. My husband seen this trash can at Lowe's and figured if it would keep a pet out, it would keep our 1.5 year old son out. We love it's ease of use and locking feature. It was the PERFECT way to child proof our trash.

Perfect Size

13 gallon bags fit and it holds more than the average can. Fittings on the light side, but stable. Like the pet/child lock and wall bumper.

New trash can

It was kinda difficult to assemble the lid to the can but once I got it attached everything else was easy. Plus with a baby on the way I love the lid locking feature. Lid does not slam down hard when it closes, a good feature .

Love the Pet Lock

The gallon size makes us very happy because we felt like we were wasting garbage bags and not filling them up all the way. Our dog was constantly getting into the garbage and learned to lift the lid. Having the lid lock aids in cleaning up messes off the floor. We are very happy with this product!

Garbage can for kitchen

I wanted a closed garbage can in the kitchen area for our new home. The placement of the can is close to the eating area. I did not want people seeing the trash while having dinner. That is why we selected this particular can. We really like it. However, there are 2 concerns. 1. You must place it about 3 in away from the wall/cabinet in order for the open and close feature to work correctly. 2. Even a Trash Can can be awesome!

My Daughter bought one and it is not only nice looking but it locks, has a soft close feature, and holds regular or special heavy duty fit bags! A bit pricy but I feel worth it and pet proof!! So I decided to get one and love it.

Uh, it's a garbage can...a review, seriously?

Yes, at 60, I consider myself an Expert at taking out the trash. I must be, my wife can't figure it out.... Anyway, this new trash can 'holds in' a lot of garbage. But it won't do anything for itself. Won't change it's own bag. Smells funky sometimes. In fact, It just sits there. Taking, never giving, sullen, squat, and it only opens up if YOU go to it first. Solid design, easy to use

Our more expensive stainless trash can broke in the move out here and needed a new one for the kitchen. The locking lid is great for kids and pets and the lid closes very slowly so no little fingers get hurt. The pedal to raise the lid works well also.

Nice size

I had a similar garbage can that had an inside liner which was accidently thrown away. I replaced it with this garbage can. I realize you don't purchase these very often, but I thought it was rather expensive. It has worked well in keeping my small dogs from raiding the garbage. I like the fact that you can stand the lid open and work "hands-free" when needed.

Very nice product compared to other trash cans that are stainless steel and double the price. So far very pleased. Can use the pedal on the bottom to lift lid or manually lift it.
