Not a quiet microwave

Problem with new microwave
Would Not RecommendReplaced older sharp microwave because of electrical arching and sparks. My model and dates confirmed to the settlement of the class action suit, however, my claim was denied! It is now in appeal. The new microwave has a control panel that must be tipped out to see. The clock also cannot be seen if the controls are not opened. This is the major complaint that I have. This along with the incredibly high price.

Would RecommendIt is an extremely stylish microwave. I got a cabinet for 27'' but this can easily fit in a 24" cabinet.

Would Not RecommendIt is ok. It is great when it works but I find this Microwave to be finicky. It has to sit just right and be operated carefully to work. It is not even one year since I bought it and electronics is showing the sign of breaking. Can't recommend to friends.

Easy Installation, Nice Operation
Would RecommendI was able to install this 30-inch wide drawer microwave in less than 1/2 hour, including installing the 2x4x5 antitipping block and drilling a hole for the power cable pass through. We have another drawer type microwave and the Sharp is a much better design, with the tilt out control panel foremost. The controls and cooking options are also more useful.

Died too soon
Would Not RecommendSupposed to be the industry “workhorse” of drawer microwaves. We really liked it. But ours died in 5yrs & 6mos. Trying to get replacement parts was not fun. Get a sense Sharp tries to steer you to use only to their repair teams who are more expensive.

Would Not RecommendI have not had any problems with the microwave. I havent noticed any unique features. The flip key pad looks cheap. It is just an expensive version of any old microwave. If the drawer function is important then go for it, if not save your $.
