Wonderfully easy to use

I had nothing but problems from my old Ryobi bump-feed trimmer head. I finally replaced it with this. It was easy to replace and is easy to reload. The head is a little harder for my trimmer to turn. I have 6 lawns that I mow regularly and more that I do occasionally and this head is really great when I am in a hurry to get one done.

Had to go to Utube to understand the installation process, but once I got it swapped out I love using it!

Garbage, don't waste your time

I would have given this a positive review immediately after installing it, but after struggling with it for 2 years, it is garbage. The springs you have to push in to insert the line are too hard to push in. The string gets stuck on the mechanism that holds the string in place. Every string change requires me to take the whole thing apart. The bump feed that came on my trimmer either ejects too much string out, or jambs up inside the spool. Does anyone make an attachment that works?

Not as good as I thought it would be

Somewhat difficult to get the line started. If you happen to get too close to an object the line breaks easily. I had bought this as a replacement for a head I bought several years ago that was easier to put line in but kept throwing it out. So with the tendency to break the line near fences and trees I am not sure about it.

Bought this to replace another head I purchased several year ago that kept throwing the line out. This is not much better if you hit the head against a fence or on the ground it easily cut the line off and it has to be replaced. The line does stay in the head but getting cut off is no better than my other one that threw the line out.. Sorry I wasted the money.

Did not work on my trimer

On the package my unit was mentioned that it would work. It did not!

Took 1 minute to install, works better than the original because its smaller. I wish I knew about this sooner! Ron

Makes weed wacking faster

This has made my weedwacking job so much easier. Was easy to assemble. Was a nightmare before with line getting tangled in my old one or having to add more line. I don't think anyone enjoys weedwacking but always looks so much better.

Product of the Year

If there is one thing I HATE it is trying to re-spool filament in my weed eater. This product took my very good weed eater and made it GREAT! It is so easy now to change out a spent line and replace it with a new one. In addition, instead of two lines doing the cutting you now have FOUR lines - which makes trimming faster and much more efficient. I cannot recommend this product in stronger terms. Great upgrade

Been looking for a 4 line universal head for my bollens bl100 weedeater and i must say i'm impressed with this 1. Easy install, nice thick cutting line, many adapters to choose from what more could u ask for.

How anyone couldn’t give this string trimmer head 5 stars is beyond me. It’s the best ever. Fits the cheapest no name trimmer up to the most expensive!

Great...for a little while

Works great out of the package for about a full summer. The following summer is when the product begins to fail by no longer allowing the string to be loaded. You can clean it, lube it, stand on one foot with your right hand up and pointing south while whistling “Dixie”, and you still wont be able to load the string. When it works, it works great. The problem is its durabilty. I’ve bought two. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Does not work on a curved shaft Ryobi

as stated above and you need to use a bolt to mount this product it did not work for me

works well, the only downfall is that the bottom wears out causing failure . need to buy one every season . I've had 2 so far

Fits Dewalt 20 volt trimmer DCST925B

I have been using these Shakespeare trimmer heads for many years. They are very convenient and have never let me down. So when I recently purchased a new 20v Dewalt DCST925B trimmer, I had to get the Shakespeare head for it. It fits this trimmer perfectly. Once you remove the factory head (youtube has a great video on this), you install the metal flat washer and one of the left-hand threaded nuts provided, and done! Simple!

Very strong and fits lots of models. Tried 2 other brands before this and they broke. This one is very durable.
