Would Not RecommendTreated lumber.....I think not. Stained maybe! Rotted off about 6" below grade. Was usable for 5 years. Now I get to do it all over again. Was rustic looking.....means poorly fitted together. If you need a temporary mailbox support this is the answer.
good buy for the money
Would Recommendi bought this because my old box rotted and fell, was short on cash i just stained it and it looks like a high priced post. just have to pick one in good condition. also bought a boxfor $12 painted it looks like a great box and post
poor quality
Would Not Recommendthe wood was of poor quality, splits through out the wood, had to look through several post to find one that was usable.
Good Return on Investment
Would RecommendI bought one of these 11 years ago. Had to replace it yesterday because it rotted of about 4 inches below the ground. Used my old mailbox board, cleaned up the mailbox, put new numbers on the box, looks like a brand new mailbox job. I don't know what "Limited Warranty" means, but for the money, I'd say you can't go wrong.
I've had my mailbox knocked down three times in the past year. This made it easy for me to put one back up.

I strongly suggest that you buy and use the "treated mailbox mounting board" to make mounting the mailbox to the post much easier. Well worth the extra 4 bucks. It is the proper width for the standard size (smaller) mailbox, whereas the post itself is not. I found it easy to mount th...
Poor Quality Wood and Construction
Would Not RecommendWe had to pick over a whole bunch of these to get one that wasn't total junk. I suspect what the store had on display were all rejected by other customers. We got the best of a bad lot, but it still had horrible joints and wood. Putty here and there. I grew to hate the thing, since it was so poorly made, and was not aging well. I finally replaced it with one I made myself from decent lumber. A friend cut it on his radial arm saw and I put it together myself, and it looks way, way better than th...
