wood post does what it is designed to do. The severe cracks in the wood + warping and poor fit seem to be a problem with all of these post. They seem to use the poorest selection of wood to make these.

Would RecommendMy wife has been wanting a new mailbox for a long time so I finally ordered this post online. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because when I went to pick it up the post had a large crack that ran from top to bottom. I went back and found someone who said he picked out the best post of the ones they had available so make sure you check it over good. The post looks great but as with all treated wood you will have to wait some time before you can paint it.
