What Customers Are Saying

The screen rolling tool has mixed reviews. Some users found it easy to use and helpful for installing window screens, especially for first-time users. However, many were dissatisfied with the poor quality and performance, including the roller being too wide, the blade being ineffective or damaging the screen, and the overall cheap, flimsy construction. Easy to use for a first-timer and it works

I needed a couple of window screens for a utility room where a dryer needing makeup air is located. Never made a window screen before. I didn't even know it was possible before stumbling on the materials at Lowes. This spline roller tool is essential to the process. Also comfortable to use. Good grip surface. Easily compresses the rubber spline into the frame's grove.

Meh.

I bought this to use on re-screening an old aluminum screen door. The roller part was too wide to fit in the track. The "cutter" part was okay, but not great. I wish I still had the cheap one that I used years ago. It worked better. Unfortunately, this was my only option in the store. I ended up using a screw driver to insert the spline - slow and tedious.

tool keeps cutting screen that is next to spline

Would Not Recommend

tool keeps cutting screen that is next to spline, so the wheel is too wide as you can hear it cutting the screen as you roll, it then makes the screen that is attached to the spline too thin, and within a few weeks holes/tears will appear.

Cheap material, poor quality

Would Not Recommend

Its all plastic and does not feel sturdy. The retractable blade does not retract smoothly or easily (I had to pound it against my workbench) and the wheel edges are not smooth; I ruined a couple pieces of screen because the edge cut through the fabric

Screen Rolling Tool

Would Recommend

I like that it has a cutter, but the wheel is bit too wide, and it makes it difficult to insert the flat spleen.

Doesn't Fit

Would Not Recommend

Doesn't fit the track of the frames sold by Lowes. Get a metal one elsewhere.

Don't buy, stick with the old two wheel.

Would Not Recommend

The roller is far too wide for standard screens, I have large hands and the finger grips are widely spaced so you don't get great leverage, and the knife portion doesn't seem like it will hold up well.

Not professional. Not even entry level.

Would Not Recommend

The plastic is softer than a milk carton. Will not hold a blade even after trying to tape it together. The roller cuts the screen. No one from Lowes evaluated this before they put it on the shelf or tried to pass it off as a professional tool. I became so frustrated with it I jerked a knot in it. Will not recommend to anyone unless I hate their guts.

Does not work well

Would Not Recommend

The roller does not push the rubber gasket into the frame completely.
