I really love that it’s a 3 in 1 product that really allows me to eliminate having to buy multiple things. Spreads out evenly and watered nicely. Would recommend for thin sparse grass.

Turned a yellow scrawny lawn into lush green

Thick green grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our yard and patches of bare dirt. We used the thick’r lawn seeds to fill in the patches. The seeds worked and filled in the bare spots with thick grass coverage. Our grass looked great! Nothing really to clean up.

Does well in shade

I have a shady area that always has a hard time growing grass, and there are lots of baby grass sprouts there now after a couple weeks. I do like that there is fertilizer included in this blend, but I feel like it could use more seed in the mix.

Fuller and thicker lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should have taken a before picture but I forgot. We have three large dogs and they leave lots of dead spots in the yard. We used this just prior to going on vacation and came back to a fuller and thicker lawn. It wad very easy for my husband to spread in the yard no harsh chemicals and pet safe. My yard has never looked so good. Will definitely purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I laid the Scott’s sun and shade seed mix a few weeks ago and now that the weather has warmed a bit, the seed is beginning to sprout. The seed mix required consistent moisture on my end, but is beginning to come up nicely. I am in zone 5 so we haven’t had enough warm weather to see more growth. I look forward to filling in my lawn with the seed and fertilizer mix that work well together.

Great coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the results of this product! The first picture is before with obvious bare patches and last picture is 1 month later. I started with just one bag to make sure it would be worth it. It covered about half of my yard. The difference is very obvious when mowing and all the patches are gone! My yard is part shade. I would highly recommend this!

Grows thin grass.

You can see the bare spot is what the lawn looked like before and the green spot is the after. The grass looks a little thin there yet but it is much better than before. Didn't have to use much of the bag to make it work.

Not a miracle but nice lawn helper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Application was exactly as you’d expect. We used a rotary distributor. Prep work before application was as expected. Results so far are not miracles, but it’s hard to tell since we already have grass. Might need more than is in the bag to see a drastic result. Certainly didn’t hurt or damage our lawn.

Easy to follow instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good. I followed the very easy instructions and applied about 1/3 of the Turf Builder (small front yard). Spreads easily, smooth consistency, package easy to open and store for future use. Too early to tell how the grass will grow, but Scott’s products typically work very well in our area, so I’m hopeful.

Nice Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super excited to use this product! According to the instructions, you're supposed to apply it a certain time in the year. Mine arrived too late to apply but my grass is already getting patchy and has bare spots from when we installed our fence. I'm looking forward to trying it out - I've seen a lot of great things about it! Compared to other brands is also more affordable and friendlier on budgets.

Greener, Thicker Grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in return for my honest review. I received Scott’s Turf Builder Thick’R Lawn seed and fertilizer for sun and shade areas. We prepped the lawn and spread the product evenly. After 3-4 weeks (with appropriate watering and maintenance), we noticed a huge improvement to our lawn. Our grass is greener and thicker. Overall, we really liked this product. Our lawn looks super healthy. I would highly recommend it to others.
