Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The hand spreader has received mixed reviews. Some found it to be an affordable and convenient option for small yards, while many were disappointed with its poor performance and durability. Key positives include even fertilizer distribution and easy handling. However, the majority of reviews highlight significant issues such as clogging, awkward mechanism, and cheap build quality. Many reported the spreader breaking or malfunctioning after limited use, and it was not effective for lighter materials. Overall, the consensus is that this is an adequate option for very small yards and light-duty use, but lacks the consistency, reliability, and durability expected for more demanding spreading needs.

The evenly spread grass seed this was great. It saved me a lot of time and covered a large area quickly. Wish I had bought a long time ago.

Small but effective
Would RecommendI purchased this as I have a lawn of 2500 sq. ft, so I knew I didn't have much to walk around and didn't feel the need to buy one more machine which takes space in my garage. Scott turf builder has all the directions on how to use this and make this an effective one. The only problem I noticed was when I was reaching the lowest level, this didn't work well.

Works Great!
Would RecommendMy dad has one at his house and I use it when I help with yard work. My boyfriend just got a new house that needed some serious work on the yard, so I bought him one of these so we could spread fertilizer, grass seeds, and pesticides. It makes those types of things so easy to spread. Worth it!

Works as it should
Would RecommendUsed 2x and it works as it should. Heavy duty plastic and simple mechanics should make this hold up for a while.

PERFECT
Would RecommendCleared a bunch of bushes around the perimeter of the house and needed to seed 250 sq.ft. Had no need to buy a full blown spreader so this was PERFECT especially for the price! It has an adjustable spread rate and added bonus I can also use it for salting the driveway and walkways!
