Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this handheld spreader for its lightweight design, simple crank mechanism, and reliable performance across grass seed, fertilizer, ice melt, and other lawn treatments. Reviewers consistently highlight exceptional ease of use, even coverage, and effectiveness in small or hard-to-reach areas where larger spreaders are impractical. Many compare it favorably to previous models and appreciate its compact size for convenient storage. The adjustable output by walking speed and crank rate allows precise control. A small number mention price concerns, and a few report isolated durability issues, though these are rare. Overall, most customers consider it a valuable, efficient upgrade for small lawn care jobs.

Needs spinning handles on both sides
Would RecommendGreat spreader. I wish there was a handle on both sides so you could switch hands. My left arm got tired from holding the spreader in my left hand so I could spin the handle with my right

For smaller hands, it can be challenging to hold.
Would RecommendI found the product a big heavy and cumbersome, but the distribution wa great, as was the price!
Verified Purchaser
Easy to use fairly light weight even full.
Would Not RecommendIt collected granules on bottom wheel & then made big blobs when starting up again.

Would RecommendThe product was the perfect size. I have a small property. The push spreaders are overkill and too expensive. This hand spreader does the same thing, more efficiently.

Great spreader for the money
Would RecommendI originally had the Scotts Elite spreader that cost $149 which I returned after one use because it was too laborious to use. I applied FOUR applications on my entire 25,000 sq.ft lawn in approximately 30 minutes. It has fairly decent control if you know how to use it. I found that the faster you turn the handle the futher ...
spreader - dirty, used
Would RecommendMy husband brought the spreader we ordered home. It was dirty, used, but still had the paper label. Cannot believe Lowes gave us this product in this condition! The product works and we did not want to waste any more time to exchange it for a new unused spreader. From now on, we will NOT be ordering online for pick-up.
