Ratings & Reviews for Scotts Turf Builder Southern Gold Mix for Tall Fescue Lawns 3-lb Tall Fescue Grass Seed

I will buy again

I have nothing bad to say about this seed. It worked, period.

Reliable

The seed has germinated. Hope it continues to grow.

Don't waste your money

Wasted alot of money for no grass to sprout. Prepped and watered as I was supposed and literally did not have any grass grow.

pickup blunders

product arrived a day early and was picked up. the barcode i was given did not work. waited for help indoors for 5 minutes. product was on shelf not in locker.

On sale so tried it

Seems to work great so far was on sale so I tried it

Not a good value

All the additive make reduces the amount of actual seed

Never, ever again will I buy Scotts Seed

I've been using Scotts Southern Gold coated seed for years to overseed my lawn in the fall. Last year I had used a different brand that my neighbor had given me because he had a lot extra, with limited success so wanted to get back to what I knew worked. So I bought this product. After preparing my lawn (core aerating the entire lawn & dethatching some of the brown sections) I was ready to spread this seed. Turns out this is not just seed but contains "Root-Building Nutrition" granules added in....

Just what we needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was exactly what our yard needed after a deck remodel to fix our random dirt patched! Our grass is finally growing! Now if we could just get rid of the weeds lol!

Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Southern Gold Blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for a review. To apply the Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Southern Gold Blend, I used the Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader. While the instructions recommended setting 8, I opted for setting 3 to target bare spots first, followed by the rest of the yard. I applied the blend in central Ohio (USDA Zone 6a), which has been experiencing abnormally dry conditions for several weeks....

Seems to work but will try again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product gratis from Influenster x Scott’s in exchange for my honest review. I tried this product out on some stubborn areas that get a lot of shade and foot traffic. The grass grew a little in some places but it was also thwarted by the heat wave we had. I’ll try again when it gets cooler.

Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that all the instructions are right on the back of the package. It’s super easy and very convenient to use. I’m hoping this will make our area we used it in thicker for my kids to play in!

Waiting Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We waited for our lawn guy to come and put this out for us. When we bought the house the grass was almost non existent. The lawn guy stated it was easy to apply and that he’s heard great things about this product so here we are waiting to see the results. Will update when I can.

It Works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Scott’s turf builder is very effective! I used it on patches in my yard that had densely grown grass other parts of my lawn. The grass grew thicker and vibrant! The application is not difficult at all, whether using a feeder or by hand. I love how it’s a three and one formula, the seedlings, fertilizer, and the soil improver. I will continue to use this product and look forward to having beautiful thick, healthy grass throughout the year. ...

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fertilizer is so easy to use and takes care of most of your lawn’s needs in one easy step. Unfortunately, I think we should have used it earlier in the season to get the best results, but it still helps. We’ll give it another try next year in the spring.

Need more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very easy to use and spread! Worked astonishing well and made my yard thicker and fuller. Evened out my lawn and wasn’t as stinky as others. Grass was strong and beautiful! Will buy again

So surprisingly awesome! Great outcome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff is tremendously awesome!! We’ve had so many spots where the grass was either completely gone or was barely anything there. We used it on the entire grass and it made such a difference! The empty spots are no longer there. The grass looks so much better that I was so surprised because I wasn’t sure what to expect. This stuff has become my boyfriend’s favorite grass product to use for our lawn to look much better.

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fertilizer has worked really well for us. We put the builder down by hand and watered the ground, the grass is growing well, and you can see the growth between the 2 photos that happened within 14 days. Overall, we like the product and plan on using it in other spots that we have in our lawn.

Super thick and green lawn!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We do are best to keep our lawn looking great! Scotts turf builder did wonders!! Our lawn looks better than it’s ever looked before! Super green and I have some left for next year!!
