Coating Forms Clumps in Spreader

I bought 60 # of this product this morning. Had finished aerating my lawn and hoped to get lawn seeded before predicted rain this afternoon. I have a 125# tow behind seed spreader with agitator. The seed spread fine for about 10 minutes. After a few more rows across the yard the seed level stopped going down in the hopper and I had to crawl across the yard to locate the place where it stopped spreading. Been using Scott’s products for my lawn for about 40 years. I trust there products because they work. It’s that simple so didn’t expect anything different this time snd wasn’t disappointed.

Growing fast!

Planted the seed and in less than 2 weeks, I saw new grass! Also added fertilizer and lime!

Does Not Germinate At All!!!

I spent a lot of money on this seed to over seed and replant large sections of my lawn. After 3+ weeks I have zero germination of this seed. I have irrigation and watered it appropriately and also have a professional lawncare service handle my weed control. After speaking with them, and having them come out to my house, they said they have never seen anything like this before and would recommend getting another brand of seed to reseed the entire lawn again. Very tender, easily damaged

I bought this seed about a month ago for patching and overseeing. I followed the directions for prep and used Scott’s lawn soil as well. The grass came in but the shoots are. Sry tender and just running a light weight push mower over it damaged it and killed it in places. While I realized it may take a season to mature It just doesn’t seem to be very robust.

Calling customer service tomorrow

Applied two weeks ago. Most of the seed has not germinated. Worst seed I’ve tried so far. Batch was from August.

Did not grow

I planted this seed in accordance with the planting instructions, kept the soil moist, and applied starter fertilizer. After one month.....no grass. This is a very expensive product not to work.

Highly disappointed

A few weeks back I reseeded my entire lawn with two bags of grass seed. One was Scotts Souther Gold and the other was a totally different brand. I seeded half of the lawn with one seed and the other half with the other seed. The Scotts seed barely grew at all. I mean weeks later its just dirt for the most part. not southern at all

seeded last fall, did all the steps and the grass came in great. no complaints until the southern heat hit. the only grass that died in my yard, despite watering, was the "scott's southern gold" grass.

Not a Single Blade of Grass Survived

Some of the seeds sprouted and then just died immediately. I bought another brand and that came up and seems to be fine. I think the seed was old as it had sprouted in the bag. It was a complete waste of money and probably Lowes shipped me a wet bag as I have bought other bags of the same seed and it was OK. I don't know how to get a refund.

Horriblr option for TRUE southern lawns!

Bought this "Southern Gold" formulated for southern lawns seed last fall and planted here in north Georgia. Prepped the soil, fertilized, planted, watered and had a beautiful lawn all through winter and early spring. Fertilized again in spring and as soon as it got warm (June) it started to brown even with plenty of regular rainfall and moderate temperatures. By July it was BROWN BROWN!
