We purchased this Samsung dishwasher for our new home, based on our previous excellent Samsung dishwasher purchased 3 years ago. Unlike our last dishwasher, this one 1) doesn't wash and dry in 60 minutes - to get even close to dry (but not actually dry) you need to add the Max dry cycle, making the entire cycle run over 2.25 hours, 2) this dishwasher is loud - rated at 38 decibels (as our previous dishwasher was) but it is much louder! 3) the door doesn't stay all the way open - you need to use ...

Wish I wouldn't have bought it.

Thought this would be nice with 3 racks but tall glasses have to be placed on one side on the second rack and large coffee mugs hit the sprayer on the top rack. The door does not open flat and has to be pushed down or the bottom rack will slide back in when pulled out. The controls are not intuitive and there is just too much going on. As of yet I have not found anything I do not like about this washer. The third rack for laying flat Cutlery and short glasses with their own water spout awesome. The middle rack you can raise or lower to give whichever level more room that you need. Also has its own washer spout. And the bottom rack the metal tines can lay down flat so you can fit pots in there without fighting them in between the wires amazing. Received Error upon turning on.

Second Samsung dishwasher. First one had an issue within a month, they changed the control panel. Broke again within 3 yrs. Purchased the assurance plan luckily. Repairman said it could not be repaired. Got my reimbursement from assurance plan and stupidly thought Samsung improved the 39 decibel model and the repairman said he had not seen any issues with the newer model. I bought the newer model and right after getting it installed. It threw an error and told to contact customer service...

Don't touch it; It's just for looks

If all you want to do is look at this dishwasher, it'll do. If you want to actually open the door and use it, you might run into problems. From the time I opened the door, I realized this would be a poorly built (very expensive) problem; however, I had my appliances (ALL from Lowes and Samsung (refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer) delivered and installed 3 days before I actually moved into my house. Buyer Beware!

The middle spray arm fell right off less than a week post installation. The dishes were rarely dry and the door would automatically pop open after the wash cycle.

Love my new Samsung dishwasher- it is practically noisless, great capacity. I use the ‘one-hour’ cycle and it’s perfect - my dishes come out sparkling clean ad perfectly dry!
