130 year old church restoration, ideal product

Installing comfort batt insulation in the walls and floor of a 130 year old William Critchlow Harris church/cottage upgrade. As this structure is a 'balloon' design, fire concern was paramount. Simple installation even with so many cuts, and huge long term benefits. Ideal application for your product.

Ive been a fan of Roxul aka "Rockwool" ever since Mike Holmes Introduced it to his show Holmes on Homes. Had to wait a couple of years before it came to the States but when it did, i was elated!!! I got to try the water test and burning it, and boy was it amazing, just as described and show. I will never ever use the pink insulation ever again!! I am happy with this product.

I like it when i get asked what i'm putting into my walls.I let friends know that this product is safe to handle and not itchy.I'm using a bread knife to cut pieces to fit.I've got peace of mind knowing it's not going to grow mold,it's fire resistant,easy to install and i won't hear as much outside noise in my home.Right now i am installing this product and i am 3/4 completed.

This stuff is amazing!

Rodents do not touch this stuff, it's durable and super easy to instal, keeps it's insulating qualities even if damp, mould resistant, made from natural product and great for cold Canadian winters. I've used it in a few shipping container cabins and they stay cozy warm in winter and cool and comfy in sunmer.

Product Is Great, Delivery Experience was terrible

Roxul is great. Love the product. It's like cotton made of rock. Insulates well. You need to wear eye protection and mask to not breathe it in. It is irritating to the skin but not like fiberglass. Holds in place if you cut it large than intended install area. 5 star on the product. No stars on delivery. Delivery: Lowe's called to confirm delivery on Saturday saying they would call me on Friday night for a two hour delivery window. Friday night I get the robo call 10-2pm delivery. 10 arrives. C...

Cheaper than Fiberglass and Easier to work With

Having done the rental machine and blowing fiberglass routine- which worked but was way more effort and mess than you would think, decided to try the rockwool batts. It was cheaper than the equivalent R value FG and easier to work with.

The best insulation available

I've used Roxul insulation for a number of projects over the years - both for thermal insulation and soundproofing, Quite simply the best insulation there is. Easy to measure and cut (use an old bread knife), friction fit holds it in place securely (I've used it in a 9" basement ceiling without any support and it it doesn't sag or budge). Earlier this year had comfort batt insulation installed in a renovation project - liked the fire protection feature, how the insulation holds up over time compared to pink alternatives, and the ease of use and installation (easier to cut, not itchy). Insulation is working like a charm now that cold weather has set in

Outstanding affordable an easy to work with product

My first time using Comfortbatt insulation. I was very impressed with ease of cutting and installation no staples and minimum mess. I can't see fiberglass insulation even coming close to real world insulating and sound suppression of the Roxul product there is no comparison in the density of these two products. Great for builds that incorporate odd and angled framing dimensions. Slightly higher cost than traditional fiberglass batting but I am sure we will see the return in energy savings. Did...

Actuall fun to install!

Insulated a knee wall that had inconsistent framing. Roxul was the perfect solution to fit in the uneven spaces.

Does the job!

Very easy install under the floors in our master bedroom. We can already feel a difference. Now to do the rest of the house!

Way better than the soft pink stuff.

Squirrels don't tear it up the way they do the soft pink stuff. They don't like it, which keeps them from going into my attic.

Warm and easy install

I used this in my PWF basement with 2x6 studs at 16" o/c. After install the basement became the warmest area in the house, literally! With an R 22, it makes a nice space here in north western Ontario. Looking forward to using the Roxul sound barrier when in finish the basement interior.
