Durable and user friendly underlayment

Great underlayment for a home DIY roof install. We redid our barn roof and it covered the 1,000 square feet perfectly with some left over. Self explanatory, durable and we are hoping it does well.

I like when people rethink products. This is smart

I’m texas it’s a million degrees all the time so always only being able to use black on rooftops makes it even worse. Great news this is gray! So it doesn’t make it hotter on the roof. It’s not slippery either like you may think. It’s seems super durable but I won’t know for sure until it’s been up there a while but the material seems durable by touch and feel. I will definitely use this again if I need to in the future.

Easier to use, just not use to it

Lightweight, thin, and appears questionable. I am not sure how well this will perform in the long run as it is quite different then other roofing underlayment I have used in the past. The roll is lighter and easier to carry then #30 or tar paper would be, and is a lot cleaner to work with. It is similar in appearance to house wrapping, so I have hope that it will perform good over time, but only time will truly tell. Multi use.

Thanks to Lowe's I got to try this product in exchange for an honest review. I didn't think it would be able to cover a large area. It was. I also did not think that it would be able to be used for the purpose I was going to use it. It will. I decided to use it under my floor as a seal. It worked perfectly. It is not absorbent. So be careful if you use it for other than what it is intended for.

Great underlayment product

This product is very thick and flexible at the same time. I really like the fact that it has measuring points on it which allows you to lay it out properly. I used this product to build a shed outdoors and it is definitely keeping the weather elements out. Will post more pictures soon to show the finished product. But loved this product and will be using it alot more in my business.

Good underlayment

This roofing underlayment works great and is very high quality. The nice thing about this type is that it is very slip resistant and does not tear easily when working with it on the roof. Would highly recommend.

I received this product as part of the lowes loop program and it didnt disappoint. It is not your usual black color, it is gray so it isnt as hot. It is is walkable and high-traction top surface. It is also slip and tear resistant. This roll is 4x250ft (1000 sq ft)

Really tough and durable roofing material. Saw my neighbor using this for his roof after the rains and his contractor said this was the best stuff out there. So I decided to use the same thing on my rental property. My contractor also said this was good stuff.

Great product, and ready to use

Great material - slip resistant roof underlayment! I like how it is lighter than the 15# or 30# felt paper I have used in the past. I plan on using it on my shed as soon as the snow melts and I can get up on the roof - currently raining so I need to wait until it is dry also.

Cooler Surface

Nice addition to any building shop. The underlayment is cooler to work on and safer to walk on. It covers 1000 square foot and comes in convenient sizes the gray color stays cooler in the summer.

Great product, what more can you ask for

I accepted this product as a want. My daughters playhouse was I need off a new roof. Being my first complete roofing job I can’t see there being a better product on the market. The grid makes it easy to cut and measure and they even have it marked where the roofing nails should go. Material is very durable and understand why water does not get thru. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of roofing underlayment.

This stuff is great.

I used some of this on one side of a chicken coop roof. The other side was leftover tar paper. The installation of roofing was delayed by several weeks. By then, the tar paper was gone, and tge synthetic was still in perfect shape. The roll seems heavy, until you compare the coverage. Tar paper comes in a 430 sqft roll. This is a 1,000 ft roll. Half of the trips up the ladder, and it won't tear and send you sliding down the roof. Heat doesn't cause it to stretch, nor does getting it wet.

Review of sheating. Light weight, easy cut and lay

This product was used on a large wood shed. The shed was 1200 square feet. The sheeting was not heavy. Iw extremely easy to cut and trim. It laid flat on the surface. Excellent product.

Synthetic roofing underlayment same (tar paper).

Had to wait for the weather to break in order to open our roof, but this came in at the right time because we were looking into which type to get. It laid down really easy and didn't have any issues with it.

Ease of use

I had my handyman use this to patch an area on the roof of our shed. He said it was easy to use and said it was very durable and would recommend 100%!

Much lighter than traditional 30# felt

This was my first experience with a synthetic roof underlayment. I have traditionally used 30# felt paper. This roll is significantly more volume at a drastically reduced weight which makes getting it onto a roof that much easier. It has a similar feel as traditional house wraps but appears to be thicker. I will likely switch and continue to use this product as the ease of handling and installing seems superior to the traditional felt paper.

Very Impressed

Easy to install and was very stable when walking across, It had a good grip on the 6/12 that I installed today. I will defiantly purchase again. Glad I tried this product

You need to try!

I tried this synthetic roofing underlayment because the product I previously used smelled horrible and got so hot on the roof. This product does not have an odor and stays cool to the touch when working with it on the roof. It's easy to put down and has helpful marks to show where to nail. The top surface of this product has a nice grip when you are walking on it so you don't have that slippery feeling. The tear resistant option is fantastic especially when you are doing a roof by yourself and t...
