excellent performer

Rolled out three bedrooms, bath, and hall in one day with a Marathon and was pleased as punch with its quality....I had absolutely no holidays to go back to fill-in and One Coat clean with no lint, no splatters. This is not a toss after use sleeve.... Cleaned it, and it looks like new, will use again when I get the paint for the kitchen. Like it very much.

Is your leading competitor possibly a lambswool cover? I have used lambswool for over 40 years. The Marathon comes close. It differs in these respects: less 'grip' on the wall, i.e., less rolling resistance. , a different feel. It did spray some on the baseboards compared to little or no spray with the lambswool.. If compared to other synthetic blends then I would rate it highly. Pick-up and release is about the same as wool. BTW, your Purdy brushes are excellent. I use them exclusively.No other...

Just as they say

Worked well without crowning yet allowed light side pressure to eliminate tracks. Was working with a very heavy acrylic flat.

I usually use Lambswool covers because they hold a lot of paint, and don't throw a lot of paint (speckles) like synthetic covers. The marathan is equal in both catagories but best to me it doesn't leave as much stipple as a lamswool cover, I'm very pleased with the preformance of the Marathan cover. Paul's Custom Painting

smooth rolling

Tried this out in my daughters room was surprised how smooth it rolled and released paint, probably my go to roller cover from now on.

One of the best rollers out there

I tried the Marathon roller in house job we had I found that this roller holds paint well and rolls on the wall very evenly. I know that I will be buying this roller and using it when ever possible.

This roller is my new favorite!

This roller gets excellent coverage! Especially efficient when covering over eggshell or satin. It does not lift off when coating the wall like my lamb skin roller does. It can make the difference between one coat or two sometimes. It also has less drag. As for the longevity, this roller needs to be cleaned at the end of the day.... I wouldn't recommend putting it in a bag for use the next day, It becomes too dense and will "rope" on you. Other than that.... LOVE IT!

good courage and long lasting

I used this sleeve to paint all of the ceilings on a repaint in a medium sized home . The coverage was good and the sleeve lasted for the entire two coat jo job with out flattening out .

Great product, cleaned properly lasts for multiple uses.

Use mostly Purdy brushes in my painting business. Haven't used a lot of Purdy rollers until now. Like this on, holds paint well similar to lambs wool.

Can't kill this roller

I used this roller to paint six previously sand painted ceilings with 2 coats of paint each. It held up with no noticeable shedding. Usually after I'm done, I trash the roller because it's pretty beat up. But this time I washed it in my "roller washer" , and wow it was still good. You can't kill this thing.

Fair, inexpensive substitute for a lambskin pelt cover

I've been a house painter for 38 years. I have used many synthetic covers with little appreciation for them. Synthetic covers just seem to throw paint everywhere. Paint all day with a pelt and never get paint on your hands, arms or floors. I prefer lambskin "pelts" as my cover of choice. If you use pelts then you know why. After using this new Marathon cover, I can say it is the best synthetic cover I have ever used, though it still falls a bit short of a lambskin pelt. Great value for around $3...

Never dissapointed by any purdy product. Marathon cover performed well. Pick up & release were both as I expected from a purdy product, always reliable.

Good roller cover CODE U322VA

This roller works very well. It holds lots of paint, applies it evenly, does not splatter and is easy to wash and reuse. Seems it will last a long time, did a 2 bedroom apt with it and it's ready for more.

Nice Finish

These leave a nice finish and clean up well. I have not reused it yet but I bet it will still leave a nice finish. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that there was a lot of fuzz that came off at first after I thought I had got it all off before I started painting. Next time I will wrap with tape a couple of times before I start painting. Other than that this is about the best cover I have used. I have been painting since 1983 full time.

Best roller cover I have ever used!

Holds more paint than the roller covers I have been using. Doesn't load up on the edges and gives a lint free application. Love it! Code MAREW2

I am a decorative painter but do a lot of regular painting for base coats, etc. The roller had a ton of leave-behind lint.

The roller picks up paint nicely and rolls smoothly. However, despite doing an initial lint removal, the roller left a ton of lint. I used Aura paint, which is sticky, but the lint is so excessive that I am going to have to soft sand my first base coat to get rid of it. There is simply too much to hand pick out of the finish.
