Great roller cover

Sturdy!

It's durable, doesn't leave terrible streaks, and clings to the paint the perfect amount. It spreads the paint very well. I'm very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Colossus roller cover is very well made and great to use. It helps to prevent splattering. It helps to cover the coat of paint more evenly. It also helps to prevent dripping. It does cover about a third more than the traditional roller cover.

Fantastic for pitted surfaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This roller has been amazing for walls that have pitted surfaces. It really gets the paint in there. I was worried that the “shaggy” appearance would leave a visible texture behind on the wall but it didn’t. After using this roller, when you start running low on paint, the shag material can mat down, making the paint coverage less. For that reason I gave it 4 stars. it was a little tricky to troubleshoot.

Amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this roller you can get by with using one coat of paint. It covers so smooth and applies more paint and doesn’t drip or run. I was worried about the size of this roller, great for larger jobs and the right size rooms

Great Coverage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried this new roller. I was absolutely amazed on how smooth and even the paint went on. The nap is nice, thick and even, holding the paint in its fibers. It fits on its frame snuggly and perfectly. A win in the painting for me.

Wow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently tried out this super paint roller and have to say that I really like it. This particular Collossus roller by Purdy is a great new addition. It really holds a lot more paint than usual and rolls on ever so smoothly. Even though it holds so much paint, it doesn't leave those awful drip marks. Love it.

Colossus=quality

It spreads paint evenly and holds the correct amount. I'll never use another roller again. I highly recommend the colossus for any paint project you have.

Lint all over my wall

We painted white and OMG the LINT WAS EVERYWHERE. We ran tape over the roller line Sherwin Williams personnel told us to do and we washed it three times. Blue lint swirls everywhere. VERY MAD! I do not recommend this roller for interior walls if you’re a perfectionist. You’ll be very disappointed

Provides the best finish!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Purdy - Colossus roller cover is my go to roller cover for many projects. Interior walls with modern texture is best coated with this synthetic roller cover. Great for back rolling behind airless paint spraying. Ceilings too.

Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just moved to Florida and we have lovely textured walls that seem to be everywhere here. This roller worked great getting into all the little grooves. The roller holds a good amount of paint which makes it great for larger areas. Learn from my mistake though and make sure to clean it first to get all the lint off the roller.

Colossus Roller Cover

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When doing a DIYer project, this is the roller I use. It holds a huge amount of paint to get your project done quickly and efficiently. I can use this several times and still going as compared to other rollers that only last one room. I haven't had any problems with flaking so far and this has been one of the best rollers I have ever used. I really love that reduces my paint time by 2/3rds.

It is Made of an exclusive formulation of 100% polyamide that makes it more resistant, when applying paint it absorbs more and therefore you can paint more, it does not drip as much. It is not as fluffy as others but it does its job very well. helped me a lot with. the remodeling of my home I recommend them

Colossus Paint Nap

Great for Painting!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for painting on rough surfaces!! I used this project to paint a popcorn ceiling and it worked very well!!! Seems to work great on rough surfaces!!!!! Only problem is I am having trouble getting it clean!!!

Different painting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These hold a lot more paint than the usual covers I get but can leave a tiny bits of fibers - I had to wash it in the middle of the job, would probably do it beforehand had I known. It does make a job much easier when you are not constantly having to reapply paint - less chance of splattering. Good for popcorn ceilings.

Left half the roller in the paint.

18" Collosus- Horrible shedding. I have never, ever seen a roller shed so much in chunks and fibres. New drywall completely ruined and an entire day lost for the client. New surface now permenantly downgraded unless skimmed. Obviously got through quality control somehow. Rinsed and cleaned, no change. When dry the cover just flakes fibres off when you touch it. Unreal. Been using Purdy products from SW for 20 years but will never buy this roller again and I encourage anyone reading this to rec...

Brick wonder roller cover

I tried several roller covers on my brick house. All of them had trouble filling in the grout lines and unique shape of the bricks. Worse the other roller covers created a rainfall of drips. The drips would keep coming even after I knocked them down by going over them again. Today I found the Purdy Colossus roller cover and my troubles ended.
