For all the negative reviews. You are not professionals! Know your tools and what products to use and not use. Hands down these are the best roller covers on the market and the only ones you can wash completely clean.

awesome roller cover

I have been a painting contractor approaching 25 years now. The Colossus is the best cover on the market. I use both the 9 and 18 inch covers. They hold a great amount of paint and will roll out incredibly smooth walls. When finished, scrape the cover down, run it under a steady stream of water, spin it out and it is ready to use again. Terrible lint from this roller

This is the worst roller I've ever used. Washed per instructions on the wrapper and started painting. Have to sand it off. I've never seen so much lint on the wall.

Best Roller EVER Hands Down

The colossus sleeves are THE best in my experience

I'm SO happy with the Pro Extra version (which is a regular width sleeve, but with a larger diameter) that I don't mind the proprietary Purdy cage. It's worth it. The new cages are well constructed (unlike the original cira mid-aughts "cageless" Colossus cage, which had a near 100% failure rate). I use the 1" nap sleeves exclusively. Great long lasting rollers

These rollers are awesome! I've used them for my whole 6 years of my painting career. I use them all, (4in. 9in. 18in.), always a 1/2in. thickness for the low texture. I wouldn't recommend it on smooth ceilings. Yes, it "SHEDS" brand new. Use caution

I have been purchasing these roller covers for many years and the quality has gone down the last few. We’ve had many where the fabric unravels completely off the core or fabric sheds all over the wall.

Love it and hate it

I use the 18 inch 1/2” nap for ceilings and I’m torn between using them for everything and never buying them again. I like the everything about it except it sheds so much lint that I end up wanting to throw it out the nearest window. The worst part is when it shed blue fuzz that shows though the dried paint. Figure this out Purdy... please!!

Drop in quality

Use these rollers almost every job. Drop in quality tho I've noticed in the last year lots of fibers come off now. Holds a lot of paint but like I said fibers everywear the first 4 times you use roller.

Follow Directions - Important

I recently painted all my ceilings with a flat white ceiling paint from Sherwin Williams. Since I had a lot to paint I looked at using the 18" roller system from Purdy. I selected the Colossus cover for my semi rough ceilings but was hesitant after reading the reviews with the lint issue. I noticed on the plastic cover it states that you should wash and wipe the cover before using to minimize the lint. Lots of shedding

I love this roller sleeve for it ability to load up with a lot of paint and ease of cleaning. When using for first time on bare drywall I did not notice the shedding when applying primer due to drywall texture. Once I went to apply the finish coats the shedding was very evident. I always thoroughly clean and condition a new roller. I have found many rollers never perform good right out of pack so this is a typical practice. BEST ROLLER NAP ON THE PLANET !!!!

This product in my opinion is the very best. Washes very quickly, holds a mass amount of paint but the only setback is that the 14" only comes in 3/4", would be nice if they had a 1/2".... Other than that, absolutely perfect !!!!

Simply Great

Works well, bought a couple just to try and boy I was impressed. pick up and release was beautiful,clean up was a breeze, Have only used it on one product Sherwin Williams pro- mar 200 egg-shell can't wait to see what it does with other paints.
