Would Not RecommendYes it's made of plastic and that's one thing whether or not you live on the coast. But the quality of the plastic is terrible. Mold seams are on all pieces and the cage is hardly connected.
The glass bulb is screwed in not just hanging.

Would Not RecommendThis looked alright up high on the wall at Lowe's, but when I got it home almost the entire thing is made of plastic. Even the tiny black cap nuts that hold it to the wall are plastic, I am not making this up. Don't tighten them more than finger tight or they will strip. About the only part that isn't plastic is the clear lens, which surprisingly is real glass, but it is very thin and will likely break if you drop it, even on the grass.
