Would RecommendWe have had this hose for many years. It was repaired last year when a hole developed. A few weeks ago, another hole developed near the male end. I just took off an about 4 foot section of hose and used this item to replace the male end. Installed properly, it works great and looks like it will last for a good while. By proper installation, the clamp must be all the way against the metal of the male end covering the hose, no gaps.

Worked but needed extra clamps
Clamp that was part of this item did not seal. Had to use band type hose clamp
