What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter is a simple and affordable tool suitable for smaller, thinner tile projects like bathroom backsplashes or kitchen tile repairs. Many users found it easy to use, with a smooth scoring and breaking action. However, the quality and durability were mixed, with some reporting issues like the handle breaking or the cuts not being perfectly straight, especially when working with larger or more rigid tiles. Overall, it is best suited for light, DIY-level use by beginners or those with limited tile cutting needs.

Would Not RecommendI wanted a saw that I could set up in the house instead of walking back and forth to the wet saw for quick cuts. Save your money. Very bad design flaw. The guide is plastic - hence it does not stay square to give you an even cut. I wasted quite a few pieces of tile before I figured out it was the guide, not operator error! they should have used a metal guide! It was easy to use. Just wish the tile would stay square! back to the store it goes! :(
Handle broke
Would Not RecommendHandle broke after less than 10 ceramic tiles. Either the blade went dull and didn't score deeply enough or the handle is week. I had only cut a few tiles and it broke under the pressure of pushing down to break the tile.
broke on 2nd use
Would Not RecommendI purchased this for use on 12x12 porcelain tile for my bathroom wall. first tile cut went relatively easy. on the second, after scoring and attempting to break the tile, the handle snapped off instead. As shown in the pic it appears the bracket that holds the handle to the base was poorly cast. I will not try a new one of this make and model.
you get what you pay for
Would Recommendwe didn't want to spend a lot of money but we needed something to cut our 2x2 and 1x1 mosaic tiles. this worked, but it was far from easy. the mosaic tiles on mesh will not stay in place with the guide (a solid tile probably would) and as a result, if the tile moved even slightly when scoring the tile... then pushing the handle down to cut it would not work. we could get the tile to cut, but we constantly had to reposition each tile. it was very frustrating and took 3-10 minutes to cut each mos...
Full 14 inch cutter!
Would RecommendThis is a handy cutter. The pads are dense and seem durable. The line up tool works pretty well. The score, break stroke is pretty smooth and seems to flow naturally. The tool handle folds down nicely for easy storage. The line up tool is plastic and somewhat flexible, but it does slide past itself to do small cuts.
a little hard to constantly get straight lines.
so I used this for a small tile job around the sink in my kids bathroom. at first it was hard to hold the tile and consistently get straight lines, but you get better as you go. quick and easy to use as long as you can firmly hold the tile. snaps tile with ease.
Easy to use
Would RecommendThis is a great tool for the homeowner. Great to use for most of the cuts by not creating a lot of dust and mess. It makes good clean cuts as long as you sand the cut edges. Definitely a must for any DIY’ers.
Inexpensive, Good Quality
Would RecommendThe project source 20 in. tile cutter is compact, easy to use, and has the instructions printed on the tool. The alignment and square part of the tool is made of plastic which is a concern. For a dollar or so, the parts could have been made of metal. Overall, repeatable cuts are quick. A tile hold down would be a good feature to have when cutting. Snapping of the tile is easy thanks to the long arm of the tool. I used the tool to cut border tile as a practice before moving on to larger tile a...
Easy to use, fast compared to a saw
Would RecommendFor tiling work that doesn't need detailed cuts, this tool is invaluable. Any floor work for example, requiring several straight cuts at the walls requires a tool like this to work faster. This particular version seems very well built, and is easy to use. In case you forget, the instructions are right on the product. It does not work on a tile larger than 20", which is why it says it is for 20". Of course, you can cut smaller. This is large enough to cut a 12" square on the diagonal (about 17" r...
Easy to use tile cutter
Would RecommendI wish we had this tile cutter when we put tile in my daughter's bathroom. We had a saw that had to be over a container of water. This is WAY easier to use. Set the fence(s) where you want to cut to get repeatable cuts, and then it's simple to score the tile with the scoring wheel. Then, just set the "foot" on the tile with the score line over the center of the tool and press down. The "foot" (I don't know what else to call it) then presses down on the rubber padding on either side of the center...
Ergonomics are....
Would Recommendexcellent. Light weight, comfortable, easy to use. Directions are illustrated on the tool's tile cutting surface. I especially like the built in measuring gauge. Makes it easy to make multiple repeat tile cuts. Another bonus is the tile cutter blade is replaceable and the part number is printed on the cutting surface. Over all this is a very nice tool that with minimal care should last many years.
Nice tile cutter
Would RecommendThis is my first ever tile cutter and practiced on a 15 inch tile. Took several cuts to get the hang of it. Little challenging to do the angled cuts. Will try another way on the next cut. Unit performed well and seemed to be built strong. Will come in handy when installing tile in my kitchen.
