What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter is a simple and affordable tool suitable for smaller, thinner tile projects like bathroom backsplashes or kitchen tile repairs. Many users found it easy to use, with a smooth scoring and breaking action. However, the quality and durability were mixed, with some reporting issues like the handle breaking or the cuts not being perfectly straight, especially when working with larger or more rigid tiles. Overall, it is best suited for light, DIY-level use by beginners or those with limited tile cutting needs.

Worked great on 20" ceramic tile
Would RecommendI bought this thing to cut 20" ceramic tile length wise. Of course I read the negative reviews first but had no other options at the time and ultimately I had no problems using this cutter at all; it scored the tile and broke at the line without any issues at all. I didn't muscle the lever more than needed which may have resulted in others breaking the lever off, the scoring wheel is spring loaded so it maintains pressure and you don't have to go crazy strength to get a good score. It works well
Would RecommendAttractive price, cut glass tiles well, the piece that cracks the tile tends to get in the way when scoring and must be held up to keep from catching on edge of tile.
Very easy for straight cuts
Easy to use
Kitchen Tile Repair
Would RecommendGreat tool, got the job done.
Didn't work for me
Would Not RecommendI tried 5 pcs 17x17 tiles and 3 pcs 12x12 tiles. All pcs were chipped into free style pcs from the middle. 1. Not sure blade made cutting enough when I scored. When I checked the surface, the cutting lines were dotted. 2. I tried many times but never succeed for splitting. Always chipping.
Good for the cost but not out of the box ready.
Would RecommendThe cutter is cost effective but I had to tighten the cutting mechanism to get a straight cut. Not ready straight out of the box.
Doesn't cut straight nor break cleanly
Would Not RecommendThere's too much wiggle room, laterally, that makes it dificult for a square cut. After several attempts, it always seems to want to run out of square. Then when breaking it is not a clean break, probably due to squareness, but it leaves a sharp point at then ends that has to be filed or ground down.
Cheap and effective solution for a diy
Would RecommendFor the price it does more than expected. Cut easily and quick, although feels a bit flimsy at times but still effective.
First time backsplash installer
Would RecommendThe cutter is sturdy and efficient. I was very carefully able to cut some glass tiles, understanding that this is not a glass tile cutter. With a diamond file, it all worked out. It has a nice solid base and cutting surface. It is easy to use with minimal skill.
It works as it should.
