What Customers Are Saying

The caulk gun has a mixed performance. Many users found it to be a smooth, sturdy, and affordable tool for larger caulking jobs. However, some reported issues with the handle or trigger bending or breaking after limited use, making it difficult to apply the caulk effectively. The gun may work well for basic tasks but may not be durable enough for more demanding applications or heavy-duty use. Customers recommend considering a more heavy-duty option, especially for larger projects or thicker caulk/adhesive products.

Too Flimsy for Repeated Use

The Project Source 30 oz caulk gun is a low price budget type tool. It is functional with all metal construction and riveted for strength but you have to be very careful with it or it will bend. 30 oz caulk cartridges in a mechanical caulk gun require a lot of grip strength. If the caulk is cold or stiff or you apply too much grip pressure then this caulk gun is going to bend. If you are extremely careful and only have a very limited use then this tool may suffice; otherwise, I would look at a m...

It takes a gorilla

This gun did not provide the leverage force to discharge a bead of construction adhesive. Maybe if I was an arm wrestler with the grip of a python I probably could have discharged a bead of adhesive, but I'm not.

A real time-saver

Would Recommend

This large size caulking gun helped make my patio construction easier. Simply designed, the plunger easily transfers force from the trigger to the piston. At one point in my project, a tube of adhesive burst, making a sticky mess of the caulking gun. However, because of it's large size, I was able to quickly and easily clean the adhesive from the gun. This gun is a real time-saver; I recommend it.
