Sensor quit working in less than a month

I purchased the pole prior to looking at the reviews and installed it. Everything worked for a month then the lights didn't work. Tried looking on line for the photocell manufacturer (apparently they don't exist) and found nothing. Went on Lowes website and found MULTIPLE reviews stating the photocell is garbage and the manufacturer suggests digging up the pole and taking it back. Guess I'll go to Home Depot and buy a new photocell. If Lowes doesn't read their own reviews and do something about ...

Looks good, and is an exact replacement. I was a little disappointed when I opened the box to find a few items missing even after I picked the box that was in the best condition...

easy install

Really easy install. Dug a hole, put the pole in, pour concrete, level it. Super easy. Love the outlet. Great purchase

Don't buy it

The photo cell is bad. Wired and tested cell is bad. Already in concrete. Lowes you need to pull this product from the shelf.

Sturdy Pole, Flimsy Electrical

The pole is great. The light sensor works well also. Had to return the first one because the electrical outlet cover was completely broken off. The second one is quite flimsy. I can see why it broke. So far it’s working, but don’t expect that to last.

Defective

Westek Photoelectric Outdoor Post Light Control (758LP) Item No. The photocell does NOT work and I did wire correctly as instructed. It is unresponsible for Lowe’s, to keep selling and having this product on their shelves, after so many negative reviews.

Photo eye NO work and bad customer service

Purchased 3 (item# 13807) and now post in concrete, hired licensed electrician and 2 of the photo eye no work. We bypassed it for now so we can get the lights on. Called 1-800 number and lady said they don't replace the eye and she sounded like i am bothering her and told me to dig the post and returned it all. Do not waste your money and don't buy this product.

Photocell and Customer Support Failed

The install was straightforward. The post and selected lamp operated as advertised <2 weeks before photocell failed. I called the 1-800 number for support and was told they don't replace the photocell. "Maybe if you take it back to the store they will replace it." Returning a post set in concrete will be a bit difficult. I am very disappointed Lowe's knows they have a product quality issue and refuses to address. I will vote with my wallet.

Lamp post

My only problem was getting deep enough into ground! Mine is hard and rocky. You have to get at least 18 inches deep to install power line into post that way it will be safely under ground.

Junk!

Bought at Lowes. Installed in concrete then installed lamp and wiring. The photo eye was no good. So of course I thought I would just call the company and they would send me a new one. Company tells me to bring the entire thing back to Lowes as they do not send out parts. I explained its set in concrete because that's what you do. Lowes was willing to help but not worth the hassle. Worked out nicely. Photocell does work. I wanted the outlet; nice to have out there.

Sensor didnt work also

I chose this light pole because of the dusk/dawn feature however after installing it, the sensor wouldnt turn the light on when the sensor was covered. Like the other reviewer i got one where the light sensor doesnt work so now i'll have to rewire it to take that sensor out of the equation.

photocell does not work, just like everyone says

Seems Lowes does not read these reviews. My photocell does not work. Of course the pole is set in concrete now in my front yard so I won't return the product. I have to rewire it to bypass the photocell just like other reviews said. Lowes needs to contact the vendor and get them to stop making poles with broken sensors. They do not do this. Chances are VERY high that your photocell will not work either and your pole will be set in concrete in your yard and you won't return the product because of...

The post was easy to install with limited skill. I felt the thickness of the pole itself was a little thin, although it's be n 23-40 years since I last installed one.

Sensors dont work

I purchased 7 of these and the photo sensor did not work in any of them. I thought that was too much of a coincidence so I had my certified electrician neighbor come over to check and he said it was wired correctly. So with them already set in concrete there was no way to return them. Grrr. So I had to return the lights and exchange them for lights with sensors. But having the outlet thought is a nice for adding Christmas lights later.

Portfolio Black 80-in Post Light Pole

I purchased this and installed it and it didn't come with the horizontal piece shown in the picture. I'd rate it 5 stars if it was packaged properly. How do I get the horizontal piece?

Met our immediate needs

We had 2 of these light posts with built-in "dusk to dawn" sensor and an outlet installed below-ground (20" to 2' below-ground because we were also having water for hose accessibility done in the same "ditch" and the water-lines. needed to be below frost-level) in 2 different areas on our property. New home construction

This kitchen faucet has not yet been installed but I love the style. Also, I chose it for the handle to turn on the water. It moves to the side and front as most go to the back and would hit the backsplash. Still waiting for the plumber to arrive.
