Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The veneer edge trimmer has mixed reviews. While some users found it efficient for trimming edge banding, the majority reported issues. The double-bevel blades made it difficult to get a clean, flush cut, and the blades could become dull quickly and were not easily replaceable. The tool was prone to catching on the wood grain, causing damage or uneven trimming. It required significant skill and care to operate effectively, and many users found it frustrating and ineffective, preferring to use a utility knife or box cutter instead.

Would RecommendIt’s finnicky. Will catch the corner of whatever you’ve edge banded if you don’t angle it correctly. I recommend sanding the over hanging edge banding first enough to give it a crease then use this trimmer. Follow that up with some more sanding. If you’re skilled with a box cutter, it basically does the same thing. Only difference is it has an edge guide.

Useful but not necessary
Would RecommendThis is useful for cutting extra edging off of edge banded plywood. While this tool is handy at getting most excess off, we still sanded to make smooth. You can also just sand all of the excess off, just takes longer. Would recommend for projects where you have a lot of edge banding.

Just use a razor blade.
Worked fine but kept catching the edge of the plywood from the underside of the blades because they are flimsy. Just a standard razor blade worked better for me.

Doesn't work
Would Not RecommendThis trimmer did not work for us at all.
Has it's limitations
Would Not RecommendOnly works on 90 degree angles. Cutting blade can flex causing poor trimming action. Can only trim off 1/16 inch of veneer at a time otherwise the veneer tears.

Great for thin edge banding veneer.
Would RecommendBought this to trim some edge banding. Works great on paper thin veneer.

More trouble than good
Would Not RecommendThis caused more harm to the sides of my plywood and still didn’t trim the excess edge banding well.
Waste of money
Would Not RecommendBought it today, it’s going back to the store tomorrow. I was able to do the job faster and cleaner using a box cutter and a sharp chisel.
Waste of money
Would Not RecommendCheaply constructed with flimsy blades. 2 of the first 3 pieces ruined because the blade flexed into the wood and cut the veneer on the plywood. These will be going back.
Don't bother
Would Not RecommendThis device is nearly useless as an edge band trimmer. It easily clogs and does the job worse and slower than using a box cutter.

Worked great!
Would RecommendThis product is not as bad as the reviews would have you think. Make sure and watch some YouTube videos on how to trim edge banding and this thing is way better than free handing a blade. The key is that if it feels difficult or snags - your probably going against the grain of the edge banding. Just stop before damaging further than you can sand down and try running the other way. Also go slow for best results.
Absolutely horrible. Caused damage.
Would Not RecommendThis may be the worst tool I've ever used, bar none. Trimmed shavings immediately wedge behind the blade, causing it to lift from the tool body. This causes the blade to protrude and gouge the face of the edge banded board, necessitating repair/filling of the damage. Had I been planning to stain rather than paint this project, I would have been left with a lot of scrap. In the end, I was far better off to simply use a sharp chisel to trim the edge banding and ended up with a result much better...
Doesn't work
Would Not Recommendonly worked for one pass and then too dull to cut the second piece...AWFUL!!

Zero stars if i could. It doesnt cut ANYTHING!
Would Not RecommendI generally don’t do reviews, but felt the need to for this product. Working on a dresser and needed to trim the veneer trim. It doesn’t cut no matter what side of the blade I use. I’m better off taking a razor blade out the box to cut it myself. This is a horrible trimmer and that’s being nice!
