What Customers Are Saying
The veneer edge trimmer has mixed reviews. While some users found it efficient for trimming edge banding, the majority reported issues. The double-bevel blades made it difficult to get a clean, flush cut, and the blades could become dull quickly and were not easily replaceable. The tool was prone to catching on the wood grain, causing damage or uneven trimming. It required significant skill and care to operate effectively, and many users found it frustrating and ineffective, preferring to use a utility knife or box cutter instead.

I had used a cheaper product from an online retailer that worked much better. Unfortunately I misplaced it and purchased this one to finish a project. I regret losing the cheap one it was much better.

Made in USA garbage
Would Not RecommendUsed another "both sides" edge trimmer - worked every. single. time. perfectly. Could not find it anywhere. This stinking pile of garbage will gouge your work. "I bet you don't have square edges". Wrong. "I bet you didn't iron it down well enough, especially the edges, and use a roller". Wrong. "I bet you have lot of tear out so the blades get hung up." Wrong. I will gouge your work with or without any tear out. "I bet you didn't let it cool completely". Wrong. I, too, saw a youtuber recommend ...

I won't recommend this one
Would Not RecommendI bought this because I had a large amount of veneer to edge and a YouTuber recommended getting one after years of not using one. Don't buy this one. I gouged several spots and decided I could definitely do better with a utility knife and sander. I returned it.

Better than a basic box cutter for trimming
Started off working great but eventually had issues with it overcutting the veneer. I eventually figured out that the veneer was getting lodged under the back/non cutting side of the trimmer blade and gouging/overcutting. The issues forced me to spend time sanding the edge to hide the blemishes. I put some tape over the backside of the trimmer blade to prevent veneer from getting stuck under it, but haven't been able to test it much at the time of this writing.

Worthless
Would Not RecommendThis would have worked great but it didn’t come with blades. There was nothing on the packaging that said no blades included. What a waste. I ended up just using my box cutter.

Find a better one.
Would Not RecommendFlimsy blade. Gouged into the wood. Not great results.

Cheap
Would Not RecommendBlades are not secure, so they can shift and cause nicks in your project. The blades are also fairly cheap and dull quickly.

Good trimmer for short time use
This trimmer worked fine for the one project that I needed i for. I found that the blade got clogged fairly quickly from the glue on the back of the edge banding and the blade wasn't particularly sharp. I may never need it again, but if I were going to do a lot of edge banding, I would want a trimmer with a blade that could be easily sharpened. It functioned as advertised, though.

Ruined my work
Would Not RecommendDo not buy this. The design is garbage -- and I can see how to make a better device. Regardless, you don't want this -- just use a utility knife and a sanding block. This thing ruined my workpiece. If you want to make your own... 3D print a holder for a blade -- AND ORIENT THAT BLADE AT 45deg. This device ripped the face off of my work -- I failed to inspect it before using. Complete crap.

Not worth it
Would Not RecommendI did not want to spend $35 on a trimmer, so I tried this less expensive option. I ended up trimming with a box knife because it worked better than this trimmer. It does remove the excess with enough light passes, so it gets a rating more than 1.

Do yourself a big favor use this tool.
Would RecommendThis is the best way to trim Band -It wood edging for plywood. Before I knew these existed I did my trimming by sanding with a sanding block which takes forever and a very careful hand. This edge trimmer makes it a 2 minute job.

junk.
Would Not RecommendBetter off using a hammer to trim the edge banding for as well as this junk works.
Inadequate for trimming veneer banding.
Would Not RecommendPurchased this tool to assist in trimming veneer banding on plywood. It did not work well at all. I finally gave up and used a utility knife instead to get the job done. I returned the product to Lowe’s where it was purchased.
