What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise these screws for exceptional quality, durability, and reliable performance. Most highlight smooth driving into cement board and wood without pre-drilling, excellent holding power, and flush countersinking without splitting. The included star bit and self-tapping design receive strong appreciation for preventing stripping and improving torque transfer. Many commend the epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance in moisture-prone areas. Some report difficulty getting screws started or bit seating issues, and a few prefer competing brands, but these concerns are far outweighed by widespread satisfaction and strong recommendations.

T20 Head is too Small - Ruined multiple bits

Would Not Recommend

Ruined multiple bits trying to just get them level with the 1/4 inch board. Bought 700 and going to throw the rest away and get something with a T25 - Have used a BUNCH of those and never ever ruined a bit. Adjusted the driver torque every way I know.. either it can't sink the screw or the bit explodes.

Power Pro vs Backer-On, Power Pro hands down. These screws perform like they should. Countersink clean without pulling material up like the other. Much less cracking and fracturing of Hardi- Board on the edges with these compared to the other. Plus the lack of a serrated head is less wear and tear on your fingers when you're driving 500...

Easy installation

Would Recommend

These fasteners work exactly as advertised, firm grip and no stripping thanks to the head design.

Bad Experience

Lowe's was out of Hardiebacker screws, so I bought these. They are terrible. They will not self drill through the board. Quickly ran my drill down struggling to get 10 screws in. Even though they are star drive the head easily strips. Would not recommend.

Horrible with Hardie

Would Not Recommend

Lowes was out of Hardie screws, so I grabbed these for 1/4 inch Hardie. I started with some leftover Hardie screws I had (same length). Then switched to these. I struggled SO MUCH to get these to screw in flush with the cement board!!! Before they set flush, they almost always strip and just spin. About 1 in 15 would not set right in the bit, and would wobble...unusable. Fought with these too much. Dozens of screws on my floor that I just threw in frustration. Never again. All the 5 star reviews...
