Awesome drill for home owners or contractors.

I've been using Porter Cable tools for almost 15 years. Though I'm only 33, I spent a number of years as the manager over the Hardware/Tools department of a big box home improvement store. I've tested and used a handful of power tool brands and always go back to PC for quality, reliability and value. I had an 18v NiCad 1/2" drill but my kid left it outside in a bucket that filled with water so I had to upgrade. Up until that point, it served me well. But I knew that I wanted to switch to Lithiu...

Hmmm could be better.....

Needed to replace my set, I have other porter cable tools ALL are great. This one as let the side down. Battiers not great thay run down faster than i can charge them, ok so buy more bats... I get that, Its not made to take a belt clip..... Now thats a big one for me i use it all the time ..... Not good.

Porter Cable 20v drilll

Bought this as a replacement for an old Ryobi drill that had finally had enough. So far this has been a very good replacement. The 20v has the power I need and the light is a bonus for those dark areas. This came with two batteries so you don't have to wait around for it to charge. Definitely worth the money as far as I am concerned. I am not a contractor and don't have heavy use on a daily basis with this drill. So for home use it is definitely worth the money as far as I am concerned.

Sweet drill

I had a 12v drill that just wasn't getting the job done, I used it for small jobs around the house. This little drill has enough power for everything I need.

A great little drill

I bought this a week ago and it has already had a good workout. I used it to remove what seemed like a thousand deck screws while replacing my deck steps and then I put almost that many back in. This drill ran like a champ and made my other drill look like a sissy! I really liked the way the chuck clamped down on what I wanted to use or even a headless screw that this feature let me back out the culprit!

Power

Not enough power that I needed. Good for light work only.

Heavy Duty

A bit heavy but lots of power and the 1/2" chuck is handy for big jobs.

Great Basic Drill Set

I bought this to replace a Craftsman 18v drill which works, but for which I can no longer find Ni-Cd batteries. The two speed settings makes it nice for big and small jobs around the house. This set is a nice value, as it includes two Li-Ion batteries. Seems to be some confusion about whether or not it's supposed to come with a carrying case. For the record, mine, which I bought new from my local Lowe's, did NOT include one.

Outstanding buy

Was in need of a new battery operated electric drill. This package offers it all. With two batteries there is no need to stop working. Highly recommend this drill.

Absolutely love this drill! Wish I had gotten one sooner. Made my life do much easier. Having the 2nd battery so helpful although the battery lasts for hours.
