Better late than never

I bought this drill Feb. 8 2015 and it was love at first use. I am still using the original battery. It has done everything I have forced it to do drilling or driving. Drilling into 3/8" steel multipile times with no whimpers. Loosening and tightening anything from 1/4" to 3/8" bolts the same as drilling. When I say I have used it hard I mean just that, it gets used in a heavy truck repair enviroment. Would I or will I recommend this drill DARN right.

The worst drill I have ever bought it doesn’t work after five uses never goes in reverse.

Outstanding product

3 years ago I bought this product in a kit, it also had a 1/4" impact. I love both of them they have out done any expectations I had. Even the batteries have been great. they outlasted a DeWalt I bought about the same time.

Best Tools by far!

Over the past 40 years, I have had several drill drivers, and none has worked as well as this one has. I have actually recently purchased another one so I can drill and drive without changing bits. And I've never had one of the batteries die while using these. eliminates having to change bits back and forth. this is a second drill. Porter Cable is always a reliable purchase.

Nice drill but not as good as previous generation

These drills are very similar in design to previous generation drills but lack some valuable features. They do not have the magnetic bit holder on top of the drill plus they deleted the battery charge status indicator. I really liked that feature on the older version but this is still a rock solid drill for any project. I use them for my professional woodworking business. I own 4 of these drills and they are amazing. I would have given this a 5 star if it had the features my older Porter Cable 2...

Great drill light weight holds a charge great

Porter cable my now be my choice of power tools holds charge for long periods light weight and very strong. Would recommend.

I love Porter Cable!

I bought one of these this morning as a replacement for 1 of the many power tools recently stolen from my shop. I have both PC and the black/yellow brand and both are good. I was going to buy a black/yellow drill since I still have their cordless impact, however, my local store didn't have just the drill, only the drill/impact combo.
