Fact....There is no issue with the drill bits not tightening in the pc 1/2" plastic chuck. This 1/2" chuck has some sort of built in locking feature that makes is easy to secure drill bits. A good drill at a great sale price.

Of the three cordless drills I own, I consider Milwaukee the best, Dewalt next best and Porter Cable after that. This rating may change as they age. All the other brands (less expensive) I have owned over the years, fail to compare to these. I have to exclude an opinion on Bosch and Makita as I have never owned their version of cordless drills.

Good Unit

I am very pleased with the drill. It takes a short time to charge the batteries and they seem to last a good long time. It has power to do the job it was designed for. I am happy with the purchase.

Best Drill For The Money

These drills are a great by for the price! I am a contractor and use them every day. Great battery life and plenty of strength. I have actually changed all of my drills to Porter Cable.

Bit slips and falls out on higher speed

Purchased this drill to replace a ten year Black & Decker. Very disappointed in using since the chuck does not have the clamping power to securely hold drill bits. I find that when drilling through certain woods like green framing lumber the bit will start to slip in the chuck and require a few attempts at retightening to get the bit to turn back out. Forget drilling through 1/4" steel or aluminum as the bit will slip almost every time. The longer you own the drill, the worse it gets. Really dis...

Replaced my old 18v Ni Cad drill with this new 20v Lithium Ion battery drill. Ni Cads would no longer hold a charge. This drill has all the features you would need at a great price.

Could use a better chuck

Got this drill last year to replace my tired old Dewalt and after using it for almost a year I can give it a fair review. First, I found the batteries are decent and give the drill more than enough run time for projects around the house but don't expect to do an all day project without being charged a few times . Very Light Weight

What a switch from the 18 Volt NiCad drill driver , the Li ion is so very compact and light but it will still burn you while keeping a bit tight. I like that it is smaller than my other drill/driver and has the same light that comes on with the switch. I didn't like that the auto stop may loosen the bit in the chuck. All I wanted was a new Drill/ Driver battery so when this was on sale cheaper than a new battery and it came with two batteries and charger what a deal.

Good value for the Price

Actually ended up buying 2. 1 for myself and a 2nd for a Christmas gift. Opened mine to check it out and be sure it was what I want and need. Very pleased with it.

Great Drill at a great price

I purchased this drill for $75 on Black Friday. I've been using an older Craftsman 19.2 volt Nicad battery drill for years. This is a great drill for the money. The power and ergonomics of this drill make it worth every penny. I wish I had bought this sooner. The best feature I think, in regards to the lithium ion battery is the relentless power right up until the battery needs to be recharged. No more lulls in power as the battery life fades. Happy Hubby Happy Life

I got it for him. And he is very happy. It makes a manly sound when u use it..Has a light to c your project. Wow! I wish they had this ...when I worked at Fleetwood Hancock. I had to hold, a flashlight ,in my mouth. And screw, in the toilet paper handles, and towel holders. And fans in ceiling. And if the battery gets low..u have a back up..He is very happy with it..and it comes with a nice thick cloth case. That zips up..And u can put all your items in there..
