Bought for specific purpose

I bought this for one specific use, as a nut driver to raise and lower the stabilizing jacks on my RV. The fact that it is a 1/2 inch drive was the motivating factor. Cut the end off a 3/8ths extension chucked it in the Drill with a 3/4 inch socket and no more hand cranking! Works Great. Okay so I am lazy, but it is much better on my back to not be bent over cranking,

Porter cable cordless drill

Had it for a week and only used it once take apart and reinstall an 8 foot section of fencing. Battery was still well charged by the end of the project. It had lots of torque with no slowing down speed wise. No complaints so far. Liked that it came with two lithium ion batteries as most brands due. Selling point for me was it seemed less bulky than the others and Lowes sells replacement batteries. The 20v batteries were smaller than the same priced Dewalt and Hitachi batteries.

good value

I just used it to screw down my whole upstairs squeaking floors. Worked great and the charger recharged the extra battery fast. It has a built-in light and when it begins to not stay on its time to swap batterys. The grip is the only thing I didn't like, I got a blister between my thumb and index finger and my old porter cable I could use for hours with no problem. I ended up putting on a leather glove so I could finish. Good price for a 1/2 inch with 2 batterys.

My 2nd Porter Cable cordless in 12 years.

I have owned a Porter Cable cordless with 2 batteries for 12 years, one of the batteries finally quit charging so I figured it was time to get a new drill. I wouldn't buy anything other than Porter Cable.

Nice Drill

I have only had this item for a short period, so cannot attest to the long term quality. With two batteries, it is a good value. It is like buying two batteries and getting a free drill. The drill is small, but powerful, It will bury a 3 inch deck screw into two 2X4s, beyond flush, with ease. I will be putting it through serious tests within the next month.

Seems like a great drill so far, with great battery life.

thought is was good ?

Porter-Cable used to be a good tool years ago, but now they are just throw-away tools. bought the 20volt 1/2' cordless in Sept. 2014, used it about 4 times and one of the battery's quit working. Called Porter-Cable and they told me it was out of warranty. Can not even find a replacement battery any where. You are better off buying a Ryobi tool. I have both and the Ryobi is 3 years old and never had any trouble.

Great purchase

I needed to replace my old delwalt cordless drill I've had for many years. I found this one on sale for $89.00. Great deal and great for use around the house. Has great power and the batteries charge very quickly. My son-in-law has one and I've used it and it helped me make my choice.

One reason I bought this drill was that I believed it had the "hammer" effect while drilling into concrete. My mistake, as I misunderstood what the word "driver" meant. Pretty good battery powered drill. Only hope it last!!!!

Good buy for the money

I purchased this to use around home building bee hives. It has surpassed my expectations for the price I paid.

Salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the advantages of a drill powered with a Lithium Ion battery. This type battery does not lose its charge when not in use.

Great Purchase

Time for a new drill for home use. This was a great buy, works smoothly, is very comfortable , light, and controlling. Would use all day if I could!

Economical

I'm pretty hard on a screw gun so gave up spending a ton of $ on them years ago. Have used this one for about a week and I like it. Has good battery working life and recharges quickly. Feels good in your hand. Especially for the price, I'd buy this again.
