I wanted a heavy duty one so I wouldn't have to replace this one. This time I bought a 1-hp. It loves to grind, and I love knowing I'm not going to find junk down inside the disposal

Quieter than the Inskinerator
Would RecommendI opted for the Moen when our InSinkErator choked after 10 years. The Moen 1HP was about the same price as the 3/4 HP InSinkErator we had. It is installed perfectly on the existing InSinkErator drain fitting. I stress-tested it today, and the thing ate a moldy piece of ribeye from the back of the fridge like a stray dog with no clogs and was very quiet—it didn't even bother my pets! I have nothing against the InSinkErator; it lasted 7 years past its 3-year warranty, but we're a Moen house now...

Would RecommendThis will be the third disposal we replaced in the past 14 years and the first two were Incinerator's (badger). Hopefully we'll have better luck with this new Moen, can't possibly be worst, and by the way, the price was right.
