Initial noise level is high

Even though the ‘running’ noise level of the disposal is quiet, and what I expected for this model, the spinning metal pieces inside that help chew up material make a very loud ‘click’ when the motor starts. It’s much louder than other units I’m used to during that initial second of operation. Otherwise this unit is great and a good value.

Very quiet. The unit is small and not bulky.

Love this disposal. It’s really quiet and it doesn’t take up a lot of room under the sink.

Quiet and efficient

Installed 7/1/19 and works perfectly, size was compact enough that I could use more storage under my sink.

Teh disposal works really well and I really liked that th erubber strainer can be removed and cleaned easily. It also makes it ieasier to unjam things in the sink.

I like the tool included.

I like the little ring installation tool provided. I didn’t have to fight to install the the metal ring. With the tool that was included I was able to get it installed the first try. :) I also like the easy pop out plug to connect the dishwasher. I always hated hammering the knock out in the competition product. Loved the fact that it already comes with an electric cord, although I wish it was 12” longer. Thanks MOEN team!! Rodrigo

Easy install, runs flawlessly

I bought the Moen garbage disposer about a month ago and installed it myself. Instructions are easy to follow. Old unit out and new unit in in under an hour. No issues within the short amount of time I have been using it.

Easy install.

The only drawback to this unit.....no fixture or wrench to clear jambs. Must clear from top side. Figured 1/2 horse unit would have an Allen wrench and access to unit from underside.

Great design

I purchased this recently and I have been impressed with the quality of the garbage disposal. You can see the attention to detail in the design.

Quieter than my badger.

This replaced my badger that failed after almost ten years of service. For the same price it has a longer warranty, makes less noise and was easier to install. Win, win win!

Good warranty

It’s easy to install and relatively compact. But it is pretty noisy, it has a high pitch buzzing sound while running, it doesn’t sound like anything wrong, it’s just loud.

Just got it, works good

Just upgraded to a 1/2 hp Moen dispose after our failed. Plumber said it should last at least 6 years and it is tough enough to grind glass. Hopefully it will just chomp food without issues.

For years I have been running with another "big box" garbage disposal unit. I could count on it to rust out every 3 to 4 years. Without fail... it did this time also. Lady at the "big box" store saw mw picking up the same unit and she stopped me. She told me to go with the Moen. 5 year warranty and pretty much rust resistant. It was an added pleasure to have it much quieter than the "other one". So don't "Badger" yourself... the Moen is so much better and so easy to instal.

Easy to install and very quiet.

I bought this to replace a broken disposal and the install was very easy and this one is much quieter than the old one. I just installed this a couple of days ago so will see how it keeps up but so far we ave very satisfied.
