Successfully used over Minwax Oil Stain
Would RecommendWhen my front door was too dark after using Minwax oil based stain in Espresso, I decided to try applying a "color wash" using this product in the standard blue tint. While it took longer to dry, the finish is durable and very attractive. Of course, I used varnish to preserve the finish.

Easy to Apply-Polyurethane Topcoat Still Tacky
Would Not RecommendI bought this stain in Golden Oak for a project I am working on. The stain is more like a gel stain, applies very easily, but mutes the grain since it is not transparent. It does not penetrate into the wood grain. I let the stain dry for four hours as recommended and then applied a coat of Minwax Wipe on Polyurethane to the wood. After drying overnight, the polyurethane is still soft. Never had this problem before with Minwax's traditional stains. Not sure I will buy this stain again......
