Ratings & Reviews for Midea Cube 50 pt. Dehumidifier with Pump (For Rooms 3001+ sq. ft) For Basements, Bathrooms, Crawlspaces, ENERGY STAR Certified, in White

Premature failure, poor materials, awful support

On paper, it looks great: compact (especially in bucket-less mode), draws in air over a large surface, it packs nicely for the off-season. In real life: It has a "back saver" feature: one can choose how much water gets collected in the bucket before the unit stops (24, 30, 36.5 or 40.5 lb). BUT to empty the bucket, one has to first lift and set aside the 37 lb "cube"... If you are comfortable moving around 37 lb, but have trouble lifting 40.5 lb, this may "save you back"; otherwise it's useless....

Easy to move around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how this product has wheels at the bottom so is easy to move around from room to room. The fact that I don't have to carry it while it has water is so helpful. I also like clear indicators to see where the water level is.

Easy peasy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's easy to set up and control with the app. I like how easy it was to move from room to room if needed. And removing the tank to drain out the water is pretty straightforward.

High Pitched fan noise

Bought this because Consumer Reports said it was quiet and energy efficient. Its noise may not be much louder than my current Frigidaire, but it's higher pitched, making it much more noticeable. It also is rated to draw 0.1A more than the Frigidaire. One of the fan blades was chipped at the outer edge. The outer box was in very good shape, so it probably left the factory this way. No noticeable effect on performance. [I choose to believe that some conscientious assembler dynamically balanced ...

Dead after one year.

Clever design with nice tech interface, but the unit prematurely failed (after one season) and stopped extracting water from the air -- this is the same experience as MANY others.

So easy and works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Midea 50 pint dehumidifier and I am really liking it. The setup was incredibly easy and even the wheels didn't require any tools. I live in Florida so it is very humid and we get a lot of rain. I have noticed some mold around windows so figured this would help with all the moisture in the air. I set it up in less than 5 minutes and pressed power and it was good to go. In about 10 minutes, the humidity had dropped 6 percent, despite ...

Must have dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely adore this product! It's easy to assemble and easy to use their various ways of drainage. My personal favorite is to have it fill up in the bucket and empty it out on my own accord. Nobody really realizes on how important it is to have a dehumidifier. Sometimes there can be a muggy smell in the air and people don't know what it is. That's usually because there's too much moisture in the air. By using a dehumidifier, it makes it so ...

I definitely would buy this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The things I enjoyed about using the dehumidifier was that in my master bathroom I do not have an exhaust fan so with using that I was able to get a lot of the moisture that builds up from us taking showers which grabbed a lot of moisture that builds up on our windows so This product definitely works great.

Great product...but

The Midea dehumidifier works great, except I bought one with the pump feature which never worked. The rest of the machine seemed to work great.

Keeps freezing up

Removes humidity OK, but after running for a few hours, the coils freeze. Ice forms on the outside and it starts making popping noises.

Effective in my humid laundry room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found a great spot near a bathroom and the laundry room to relieve some of the shower steam and moist air from the dryer. I love the smart functions that I can change on my phone. It keeps the moisture down and odors under control.

A Must Have for Humid Spaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So thankful to have received this to review! My vent in my master bathroom needs a deep cleaning, so not all the moisture is being removed whenever it's turned on! With this dehumidifier I immediately noticed a difference! I love that it has a bucket to catch the water, and it's so compact you can sit it anywhere.

Great item! Does the job right!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's easy and simple to use, has a good app, and works really well. It help with the humidity of the room. The bucket was filled with water by the end of the day. However, it is a little noisy and heavy. So make sure to keep that in mind.

Delivers but a big bug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works like a charm. The only beef I have is having to take the unit off if we want to switch from water reservoir vs draining it. Design would be letter if there was a simple switch as opposed to going through the rigmarole of disconnecting and disassembling.

What a game changer!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this dehumidifier from BzzAgent and Midea for this review, and let me tell you this thing is a game changer!! We installed it in our bathroom, which has an open shower. In Florida it is very humid and taking a shower in the summer turns our bathroom into a sauna--but not anymore with the dehumidifier!!! It is easy to use (you can run it from your phone) and now we don't worry about mold or having to blow dry your hair in a muggy bath...

Such a small device does so much!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion on the product, thanks Midea! Once my package arrived, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it. We have a basement that is mostly finished (cinderblock walls and poured floor) that has some moisture problems. If we don't keep a fan blowing down there, it gets musty pretty quickly. We do have an interior french drain that helps evacuate the water that does seep into the basement but so...

Great for humid house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The humidity is already getting up there in Florida and this dehumidifier made sleeping at night bearable again. This worked on my 2000 square foot house and I could feel the heaviness in the air gone in all rooms. We all slept better too.

this thing is a beast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a dehumidifier for a while and I'm excited I finally got one. Living in Florida, a dehumidifier is essential year-round. Here are the main things I like about this model: 1. Efficiency: This dehumidifier really works! It has collected a crazy amount of water since I started using it. My house feels noticeably more comfortable and less humid. 2. Large Capacity: One of the best features is its large water tank (cube) capacity. U...
