Great Dehumidifier

This dehumidifier does a great job in keeping humidity levels down in my basement. I like being able to monitor it using the app.

They designed this to the max.

So flexible and powerful, but also simple. It collapses into half the size when you're not using it. Big sturdy handle Easy to use phone app Powerful dehumidifying, also a quiet fan setting Can gravity-drain or pump drain (up to 14 feet uphill!) Can set a schedule (so it goes quiet at night) Can set preferred bucket fill level so it doesn't get too heavy for you to lift. They thought of EVERYTHING. Probably my third dehumidifier and this one works. Keeping it.

one and a half year

Boughtthis for my son as a gift he barely used it the first year. lasted 1 and half year. junk do not recommend

Brilliant design and decent features. Worked great for about a year. About 3 months after the warranty expired, it began making water-dripping noises while the unit was not operating. When lifting the unit to drain the bucket, water will drain and drip from the bottom surface of the dehumidifier. No idea or suggestions offered on how to fix the problem. Died, just outside of warranty period

Purchased in Feb 2024, Died in May of 2025. Beware the warranty only covers a year. Coils keep freezing over and it's not the room temp, filters, airflow or anything I can control. It's either the auto-defrost or the compressor won't shut off. I need to find a place to service this since it wasn't cheap. My last dehumidifier (different brand) lasted over 5 years!

MAD50PS1 50 pint Cube Dehumidifier

Setup & 1st couple of weeks of operation went very well. Tried bucket mode 1st then shifted to pump mode. Using in basement with 1/4" pump discharge hose thru wall into floor drain 12' away. Both dehumidifier & iPhone APP performing very well so far. Replaced a GE dehumidifier w/pump that I bought in 2022. That dehumidifier failed after 1-1/2 years. Works great but needs better Apple Home support

I purchased this because I needed a larger dehumidifier. Yes, it is hefty but isn’t this what you want to dry out your basement?! I have a Honeywell and only 20 pints doesn’t cut it during Spring rain. The fan is amazing! It was only running for a short time and my basement felt warmer and dryer. Effective Humidity Reduction

I have been running this unit for two months and had no problems. It reduces humidity effectively and can set the level you want. I wish that I could control the appliance manually rather than having to use the app, but it is a minor annoyance. Overall, it works fine.

Lack of Durability

Purchased this dehumidifier 12 months ago and it no longer works. The fan runs 24/7 but no water comes out of the drain port despite having 70% humidity in the area where it's located.

No wheels

Both my 35 and 50 cube didn’t come with wheels even though there are slots on the bottom

Great product with all of the features

I bought two of these about 18 months ago and they are great. Everything about the design and layout is well thought out and implemented. I cannot think of anything that I would want to change. These units are 100% reliable, quiet, and energy efficient. I have some critical storage needs in my basement and they hold it at my desired 40% RH. Stopped working after 6 months

After 6 months of use, the unit will no longer put water into the bucket, only will go out the hose

Best so far

Best bucket ever for a dehumidifier. This matters because most are impossible to clean and over time all get gunky. This one will not and holds much more so don't need to use a hose.

Unit failing – just over one year old

I do not recommend Midea products. I purchased my unit in July of 2023, in September of 2024 I noticed frost forming on the coils. Since I was outside of the one-year warranty period, Midea refused to help fix or replace the unit. Prior to my unit’s issues, it was used in a basement to control humidity levels during the spring and summer. I regularly checked the filter and cleaned it when needed or prompted by the smart phone application. Midea support case: 112342179

Does what it's suppose to.

I got this after a fail attempt with a small one. I have about 800Sq ft. basement that's been super humid this last year. It got to the point where most of the floor was wet. I plugged this baby in about half a day the talk was full. I emptied the tank once a day and so in 2 days my basement was completely dry. I was extremely impressed. Broke after 1 year and 7 days

It stopped working after 1 year and 7 days, which is exactly 7 days after the warranty expired. Absolutely ridiculous. I recommend this to nobody

Owned for 2 days before breaking

Within 2 days, this unit stopped working. The fan wouldn't run properly, but the motor kept trying. They system got very hot and probably would have started a fire if I hadn't been home. UGH!

Sucks a lot of water out of the air

Sucks a lot of water out of the air, does give off a considerable amount of heat, but my basement has never been so dry, might buy a second one.
