Nice mailbox stand

I didn't realize until after I bought it that it goes OVER the wooden post which wasn't a problem since mine was still up. I had to do some sawing to get it to fit over my current wood post. Easy to clean and looks very nice. Haven't planted anything on the back yet but I intend to.

Expensive but durable and stylish

I love the looks of this item. It's strong and stylish. Make sure you don't buy the similar $40 version. It is very cheap and didn't withstand the snow plow pushing snow into it. Expensive, but looks impressive and classy.

It sums it all up when your mail woman leaves you a note that says awesome mailbox and awesome location! I don't mean to toot my horn but I easily have the nicest mailbox and post on the block! Replacement mail box post

Rather pricey, but seems well built and easy to install. Hole was the hardest part. Paid $80 which I thought was a little steep.

Stylish

This is a really neat mailbox post. I like the fact that it has a plant holder. I can change the flowers for every season. Look forward to installing it at my new house.

Touch of Class

Reading previous comments I was weary about the top portion of the post fitting over the 4X4 wood post. Although it is very tight, a rubber mallet, cardboard and ladder were all that was needed to get it on tightly and securely without damaging the finish. Best way will be to have one person hold the top portion and another on the ladder with a rubber mallet and cardboard on the top to ensure no damage and no rub marks from the mallet. Nice product, with one flaw...

I just installed this today. The product itself I love. It's fancy and adds a bunch of class to a standard mailbox. However, the one flaw that I found, (and the reason I give it 4 stars overall) is that the top section does NOT easily slide over a 4 x 4 post as stated. The interior of the top portion is more like 3 or 3.5" instead of 4. I had to notch the top of the 4 x 4 post in order to get it to slide over the top. After that, I had to pound the piece down the rest of the way with a mallet. T...

Sorry I waited so long to get it !!!!

We have had a old shabby mailbox for years. It was always leaning over and we would fix it and a month later it would be leaning again. The 4x4 post it was on was rotting out around the bottom and it was just awful. So glad we got this new one !!!

Love the way it looks with clean lines and details. I did not use the planter box. I place my house numbers instead.

Useful, Beautiful

Though priced higher than expected, this white mailbox with planter was a snap to install. The only problem that appeared later is that the drain hole is placed poorly - not good engineering. Otherwise, excellent product that we expect to show years of service.

I am very happy with the product overall. In the planter behind the post I wish there was a hole at the deep end to let out any extra water not absorbed by plants. If the extra water stays there it can breed mosquitoes.
