worthless waste of money
Had one before, I do not recommend this one.
Would Not RecommendHad one of these prior for 8 years. Putting the back pad cover on is almost impossible to get the water pump hose lined up to the back fixture. I figured they would have fixed that issue by now, but nope. I had to cut out a piece of plastic to get needle nose plyers in and attach the pump hose to the back pad unit. UUGH. Also, this unit DOES NOT come with an interior plastic cover, so thankfully I was able to use my old one, so I don't get cold or hot air blowing into my room when the unit is...

Would RecommendThe 1st one tripped a breaker, smelled some smoke and after resetting the breaker the fan motor didn't work. The pump still worked though. I took the whole cooler back and Lowe's exchanged it with another one they had in stock. I can’t say enough how well the folks in customer service, at the Casa Grande, AZ store, did their jobs. Y'all are amazing. Thank you! My workshop is cool now.

A virtual nightmare (but it cools as it should)
Would Not RecommendThe back needs to be removed and replaced regularly to deal with hard water scale eliminator and odor control tables. It takes 2 people to remove and replace the back. Sometimes words just might be spoken that are best to not to use in polite company. It is very frustrating to say the least. It works very well but not easy to assemble
Would RecommendThe remote always starts at the last setting it was used on so initially, the pads are not wet when you restart and if you stopped it at the high fan setting, that is where is will start again. The feed tube from the pump to the pads is hard to put on and the overflow drain threads are very easy to cross thread so be careful!

Would Not RecommendPurchased in June and installed it, but didn't start using it until July. We ran it during the day for about a week and it stopped working. The pump went out! Called customer service at Mastercool and they are supposed to be sending a new pump (probably not overnight). I can't say it's good or bad - it worked great for the few days it was running, but the pump went out with very little use. Buyer Beware!

I've owned this unit for 4 years now. Let me tell you the good and bad: Good: Cheap to operate as far as electeicity and water costs, works very well at cooling smaller homes (mine is 1068 sqft) It is fairly quiet on the low setting. Bad: Media pads are too expensive at $125.00 a pop and they need to be changed every year, unless your water isn't too hard. Would Not RecommendBought this unit from Lowe's store. Installed it week later removed window installed water lines after completed unit would not work just cycled thru off -on -high- low- pump on pump off contacted mastercool customer service they said unfortunately its known issue and I would have to return unit.....avoid this company 😑
