What Customers Are Saying
The evaporative cooler provides effective cooling performance and efficiency, able to cool large spaces even in hot climates. Users appreciate the low operating costs and reduced utility bills compared to traditional air conditioning. However, the installation process can be challenging, with difficulties aligning and securing the back panel. Some customers also experienced issues with the control panel and remote not functioning properly. Ongoing maintenance, such as regularly cleaning the water distribution system and pads, is required to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance.

Would RecommendI purchased this unit back in August of 2012 during a heat wave in Colorado. The temp in my house was above 90 degrees and this unit brought the temp down by 20 degrees almost instantly. It was fairly easy to install and I was able to do it alone without assistance (good luck doing that with a box type unit!). Mine sits under a covered patios so it does not get the abuse from the elements, however after running it for the end of 2012 and the summer of 2013, I tried to turn it on this month and t...
Recommend with reservations
Would RecommendThis cooler works well and is easy to install. Mine came withe a bad water pump and when calling the company I got three ladies who new how to answer the phone but knew nothing about water coolers. This was the tech. Department. Since I new the pump had bad windings I just went back to lows and bought a new pump.

Money well spent!
Would RecommendWe live in California. Dry heat means dry air. Even though we have central air (30 year old money sucking the life out of you unit) We bought this unit about 1 month ago. I have never lived with a evap cooler so I was skeptical. Well here we go with 100 degree weather and I was nervous. To my surprise this unit has kept our house at 73 degrees with an outside temp of 97. You don't have the wet feeling the old swamp coolers put out. I have had PG&E come out to weather proof our house this week an...
Unbelievable Cooler for the money
Would RecommendI bought this cooler because I live in the perfect state to use it, Arizona. Everyone knows it's hot in Arizona but lucky for us its a dry heat, which makes it perfect for this Evaporative Cooler. I actually installed this cooler on a hand built stand I built. I wanted to be able to remove the cooler when it gets too hot here to use it. Unfortunately it does get too hot in Phoenix to be able to use it all summer long. This is why I put it on a stand so I can move it into the garage during the re...

Very Cool & Easy Install
Would RecommendWe have only used this cooler for a couple of weeks, but it has really worked great. We have a 1900 sq.' home with vaulted ceilings, so there is a lot of space to cool. For the past 5 years we have run a traditional cooler rated at 5000 CFM & 1800 Sq.' cooling capacity. I ran them head to head last week, and the MCP44 cools much better even though rated a little lower. I think the celdek pads make the difference. Others have complained about the quality and noise. I found the nose level to be ve...

Las Vegas,NV review
Would RecommendWe have the dry heat and very hard water. I have had a swamp cooler here in Vegas for 20 years and always the large metal kind. I have had to deal with rust on the cooler all the time to get them to last about 12 years, I always wanted a cooler with something other than metal (water+metal=rust). This cooler install is easy and the plastic held up great for the install. I also ordered the purge pump to help with the build up of minerals, (when water evaporates the minerals in the water do not) th...

Just another joke
Would Not RecommendI bought this and it worked well and does cool ,but I could never get it to stop leaking ,second the pump burned out ,now I have to send the pump back ,it barely had 40 hours on it ,just a let down .
don't bother
Would Not RecommendAfter researching, and reading all of the glowing reviews on this unit, I decided that it was the one for my home. Installation was a bit tricky, but not too bad. When it first came on, and blew us out of the room oh medium, I got a little worried. It was extremely loud. We left for a few hours to let it cool the house. We returned to the house being about 10 degrees cooler. By the time midnight rolled around, it was very cool. But, the next day, as the temps went up, the heat in the house did t...

This should reduce my power bill...
Would RecommendMasterCool MCP44. My unit was installed in my Mobil Home, of 1444 Sq. Ft.. Installation was pretty straight forward and not too difficult to finalize, although, it was necessary in my application, to cut a hole in the wall. The inside power was a plus and because the cooler was mounted high on the wall, the remote control was particularly handy. The compact size is very nice and there are no cables or chains to install, heck, the unit only weighs 45#, approx.. I live in a very hot (summer time) ...

WOW! Watching my power bill DROP!
Would RecommendI logged onto Edison and saw that my current bill is $480 and my projected next month's bill would be $673!!!! We were only 9 days into our billing cycle and immediately made a trip to Lowe's and purchased this cooler. It is rated for 1600 Square foot but we are working it like a dog cooling my 2150 square foot house with vaulted ceiling in 80% of the house. We need a fan midway in our home to push the air to the far end but this cooler is doing its job and keeping our home under 80 degrees on a...

Great Product
Would RecommendThis is a great product and the only thing we have bad to say is that it is very loud on the inside of the house, not loud at all outside. Need to find a way to reverse the noise. Cools down the house very well especially on those 100 degree days.

Master cool evaporative cooler
Would Not RecommendNot worth your money this cooler is a overpriced piece of junk, basically a $500 fan pump keeps stoping water drains to quickly so the air is always hot, The cooler is also very LOUD completely destroyed the peace and quiet of my house had to turn the television way up to hear it over the unit. Easy to use not hard to install but basic design flaws make it useless unless you don't mind 100 trips outside a day to check to see if it's getting water, save your money pass this one up. I have had man...

horrible instructions
Would RecommendWe have a 1600 sf home and it cools it wonderfully, however, the instructions for installation were almost non-existent. Pictures so small you couldn't see what as meant. It would be given a five if installation hadn't been so difficult.

It could have been designed better
Would RecommendExcellent cooling for my studio appartment, overkill actually. However, there can be a number of design and installation instruction issues. The 12 screws used to hold the fan assembly on are not the greatest of scews and if you are trying to install the cooler by yourself the screws may not hold the fan assembly together long enough to put in all the screws. I ended up replacing all the screws with #10 1" self-tapping fine thread screws with nuts. Very solid connection that way. Instructions ar...

Awesome - Paid for itself in 1st year !!!
Would RecommendI live in Palmdale, Ca (high desert) and was a bit worried about this design for an evaporative cooler, but I had only one installation location that precluded my installing a "standard" swamp cooler unit. I am so glad I bought this unit as I chose to cut a hole in the wall next to a large window and I mounted it with just 4 surprisingly small screws against a stucco surface on the 2nd story of our house. I can tell you, by opening a single window downstairs on the far side of the house (2400 s...

Very cool swamp cooler slim and easy to install
Would RecommendMy wife and I purchased this unit last year it took about an hour to install as this was my first time EVER doing something like this. This unit has 3 speeds for the fan I found that the middle or low speeds were more than enough for cooling down the house. We have a 1800 SQF home and I was on a budget. Trico has raised their rates and our average AC bill has been 450 per month running the system we kept the home at 87 when we are away and the unit would kick on around 430 Pm to cool the house t...
