Easy charcoal flavor without the babysitting

The gravity feed + digital temp control means I get real wood/charcoal flavor but I can set it and actually hang out with family instead of hovering over the smoker. Was the only grill I needed to buy!!

I have had to replace the control unit once, but Arizona is a HARSH climate for anything electronic and outdoors. Steaks, burgers, all our meats, are a pleasure to prepare and eat using this grill. Keep the hopper filled, and once lit, you have hours of cooking time if needed, with temperature controlled quite consistently. Will buy another one if and when this one breaks. The best grill I've ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked it up two years ago and have been very happy with it - the indirect heat and ability to maintain constant set temps are a game changer. My one gripe is that they should've made it a little easier to start - others allow for small gas tanks instead of starters to get grills going. But that's a small price to pay for what it offers.

Nice smoker + grill, better than pellets (IMHO)

Love the fact that I can use this as a smoker and a grill, and I can use my preferred charcoal rather than pellets. Six months in and the proprietary power supply failed. I may end up converting this to a wall wart that I can get most anywhere, but let's see what the warranty covers first.

Great for Smoking with Charcoal Flavor!

I can fit three 10+ lb pork butts on it without any issue for smoking. The griddle surface is large and fantastic. It is also easy to use. The only knock against Masterbuilt is that the iPhone app rarely works well, but it works on y iPad with no problem. This isn't a big deal for me as I just keep the iPad close to me...

Best grill in my 50 years of grilling

When I found Masterbuilt, I first notified my two brother-in-laws and three friends. Out of the five, three immediately bought them before I could get mine. They all love theirs, and two have now sold their Traegers. I bought the 1050 and have had mine for three years. I did need to replace the control board after 6 months which was irritating, but other than that it’s been absolutely fantastic! I have now bought them for two of my sons. I have close contact with 9 people who have various sizes ...

Unfortunately not worth the cost

My husband was excited to get this grill after it being recommended to us by a friend, but we've had problems with the fan going out, as well as the seal around the hopper completely melting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this grill for a couple of months and have done everything from steaks to brisket to pork fish to eggs&bacon to cheese (cold smoked). After about the third cook I really got the hang of being able to get a fire started quickly and dinner going. The best so far was smoked 13lb turkey that I spatchcocked and it only took about 1:45 and was perfect.

Unplug it a few times and it works!

I do not keep it plugged in unless I am using it. Once I get the fire going I plug in the grill to start setting the temp and get the blower going. I do it in this order because the computer malfunctions / errors out every time and just beeps until I unplug and plug it back in. The screen throws all kinds of codes and it just won't ...

Easy and Fun To Use

Features are great and love the charcoal taste

Best grill I have owned however

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best grill I have ever owned for cooking, Grilling, Smoking anything you want a BBQ for this does it better.. Hands down better than any pellet grill and I have had several of the top names.. I have to say that I am having a problem with mine and need a new display, Mine quit lighting up so I can not see temp or anything to set it.. Might be a fluke or maybe other people have this issue
