Love It and Hate It

I’ve had this grill for several years now. It does everything great. Good high heat for searing steaks, and mix in hickory wood chunks in the hopper and a few in the ash pan and it smokes butts and ribs and chicken to perfection at low temps. The controls hold your set temp well - when they work. That’s the downside. I’ve replaced the control panel three times and a couple of the cutoff switches and the panel is starting to act up again. The grill stays outside but I use their cover.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

Over 18 month period, the control panel had to be replaced 5 times and on the 5th the fan went out. If you look on review sites, you will confirm this is a known problem. MB wont tell you if they have even fixed the problems, just tell you buy new parts that have a 90 day warranty...that's about how long their parts last. Dont waste your money!!!

Worst customer service

Stopped working first use

delivery is horrible

they would not refund my delivery cost even though they said they couldn't deliver it so I did a total refund. also I checked tracking on delivery app and apparently the delivery people were parked at the beach. no phone call from delivery person, just a no delivery.

Outstanding grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this grill two years ago and it is running strong. I did replace the computer recently as the display went out but it is consistent and makes long cooks easy.

great grill! when it works

great features when it works. used 3 times woth no problems then it wouldnt turn on. i alleays keep it under the cover and inside garage when not in use. got new power block, turns on but no fan... checked all switches, 2 bad switches and a stuck fan. very poor quality parts. buyer beware!

Great all in one grill smoker

I purchased the masterbuilt gravity 800 and I am extremely surprised on how everything is Self adjusted and the versatility of the grill griddle and smoker and other features this gravity 800 can do. I recommend it.

Not real happy with set up process

Grill looks good. The directions are terrible. Cannot get the grill to connect to my wifi at home. So the app and tracking the time, the grill temperature or the meat temperature. I bought this for that convenience. Trying to find help via phone is none existence and only way is email, which takes a few days to answer. Chat isn't working. Not happy with pre use. Don't know how well it works yet

Awesome grill and smoker

Best way to get an offset flavor and temp control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this smoker for just shy of 2 years and probably put just about 200 smokes in it. It is fanatic for giving a true wood flavor taste like any off set and is very easy and effortless for controlling temperature. The best part about Masterbuilt in general is you can buy any part you need so the smoker can last a very long time. My only two complaints are both the digital control panel needs to be weather proof because I keep my grill outs...

Happy

I bought a 1050 last year and love this thing. From long slow cooks to quick ones it does it all. I've noticed that lump charcoal doesn't last very long unlike kingsford. Lump does however give food a better taste. I just can't get over how great the food tastes on the short cooks. Steaks, wings, pork chops and other items are delicious.

I will never own another Masterbuilt product. The digital board failed me on the 4th of July! Wow. Of all times. Thanks Masterbuilt. I’ll just go buy a better product so it won’t happen again.

Will never buy another grill

Got this for a birthday gift ! I will never own another grill ! Does the best turkey for thanksgiving and the best burgers, kebabs, veggies or tomahawks in the summer ! Love the ease of use and the control of temperature- it’s so sophisticated yet as simple as operating my oven in the kitchen !
