Nowadays, you want as much security as you can possibly get. we leave this right by our door and put it under the door knob every night. Easy to use and practical. We've had one for about a year and I'm buying another as a gift. An intruder might be able to pick a lock, but to get past this would take more effort than I think anyone would want to use. Also, very inexpensive peace of mind.

I purchased this item due to a the kicking in the door breakins This will give me time to act if one happens.

Master Lock Adjustable Security Bar

Not only recommended it to a friend but purchased one for her! She was impressed enough that she will purchase an additional two. We purchased our’s on the recommendation of our best friend’s. In this day of so many home break-ins my wife & I feel much more secure as an elderly couple. We will continue to recommend this product to others.

Safety First

Excellent product! I read previous reviews which helped me to make my purchase. The fact that the bar can be used for both regular doors and sliding door was a plus! I purchased one for my each of my children as well.

Observation

If the base of the rod (square rubber footing) was larger in size it would substantially improve the resistance to prevent entry.

Very Sturdy

I bought this for my sliding glass door. The security bar is very sturdy. The door will not even budge with the bar in place. I would highly recommend.

I'm not sure if the rubber stopper is supposed to stay flush with the floor? I thought it would either adjust so that it would, thereby creating a tighter fit between the doorknob and the floor so it doesn't slide out (?) Other than that, this is a good, rudimentary device for another [physical] layer of protection for your house.

I'm so glad that I purchased the 42 inch adjustable door security bar. I feel a lot safer in my home. Its so sturdy and secure. I highly recommend this product.
