Yes, dual purpose...remove the top for sliding door and you can leave the top on to use under a door knob.

Love them!! I am a 66 year old woman and these are so easy to use, now I feel more secure in my home having them on my doors.

I bought 2 of these as a suggestion from my mom. I am looking to purchase more in the near future. It really works and helps me and my family to feel safer at night.

I bought it from the store and when i got home,I realized that it had a crack in patt of the locking mechanism and looked a little "used". If someone brings back an item like this, it should definitely be looked over before just putting it back on the floor.

Bought this for my Daughter who lives alone her ex boyfriend tried to break into to apt and was unable held him off til cops came he tried kicking her door in unsuccessful

Would have liked it better if the end was narrower so it would fit better on the tracking my sliding door

Not very secure after a few uses..

like other ratings,, the 'silver button' broke,, long story short,, called Master Lock, 1.800.464.2088 and told them what happens and they are sending me another one,, not the best solution for the problem but at least they honor their warranty..

Much stronger and heavier duty. Those sliding adjustable security bars seem cheap in comparison.

Master Lock 42" Adjustable Security Door Brace

Bought two of these for my 18-yo granddaughter who was spending the evening by herself and wanted extra peace of mind (so did I). This security bar is an length-adjustable vertical, steel brace. The upper end is forked and fits snuggly under the door knob, and the lower end has a sturdy rubber foot rests on the floor. I simply sat the brace in place, pushed the door firmly shut to eliminate any slack and adjusted the length to best fit angle. Lightly kick the rubber foot inward, and you have...
