Would RecommendI bought this bar because vacation rentals don’t generally change their door lock codes between guests and definitely don’t rekey locks. It seems sturdy and non-slip on wood amd tile floors. I generally put it in place and give the base a few very light kicks to wedge it in place and there is then zero freeplay or ability to wiggle it loose. Would RecommendThis security bar adds some peace of mind when we are away from the house which is NOT very secure without help. I am renting the home and can't make modifications. This bar is strong and versatile and allows us to set the angle of installation for maximum resistance. For only about $24-25, it is cheap insurance. Plastic top may break under pressure. Bottom pivot point is very narrow and a high stress point.
