Not at all what I was looking for. Doesn't take too much of an effort to push the door open with the device installed.

Not recommended

Not impressed, metal "button" moves as you kick the bottom rubber to tighten in place. Very bad, loose design in my opinion.

good security for your home these days you have to worry about home invasions even when your home with this you will sleep better at night going to buy another one

Extra security at home

I’ve used this bar for hotel stays and lent it to my daughter for her town house. Never got it back! Lol. I recently purchased three for my home for added security. My sister liked the idea and she also bought three for her home. I sleep better at night and so does my sister.

usable with adaptation

The base grip is smooth plastic that has no grip at all. It slides easily on hardwood, tile and linoleum and therefore is useless unless you add a grip to the base. I cut a small piece of carpet non-skid underpad to use between floor and base, and now it works fine. It is useless without this adaptation.

Works Very Well Can Be Better

I bought this to replace one that broke after nearly nine years of use. I bought this item after my front door was kicked in by a would be burglar. It wedges between door and floor and does a good job of keeping the door from being opening from a kick. The problem i found is the floor pad is a good sturdy plastic, but not indestructable and after years of setting and my slicght kick to wedge it secuely to floor the pad broke. I saw that there wss a possibility to replace the pad as the remainder...

Simply....safe

Literally Seconds to install, solid and sturdy well worth it for the protection. I have one on the patio door and the front door, the later gives you precious seconds to react if someone tries to kick your door in.

Wonderful tool

Bought this for qa blind friend and she loves it and feels much more secure with at her fronjt door. All of her friends that have seen it think it's a great idea too.

This bar seems to be very durable. I have not had an incident happen to test its strength and hope not to however, I think it will hold a door close if someone attempted to break in
