Eh, ok so far
Would Recommendit fixed a few light strands, but did nothing with some others. Also, the clips on the sides of the net lights did not allow me to attach the tool to it. The voltage detector seemed pretty useless too. I did like the bulb tester and the fact that it can store extra bulbs in the handle. All in all it's a fairly handy tool to have.

Not so easy to use
It will work, but not very well on lower-voltage strings. The voltage detector feature is iffy on the strings I have. Haven't been able to test the shunt repair feature, which was my main purpose for this.

Would RecommendWhile not everything was brought back to life, we had 6 strands of lights that were not working when we took them out of storage this year. The tool worked on 5 out of the 6. Got our moneys worth right there. I would highly recommend trying this to see if it saves your strands. Especially for prelit items like garland and wreaths.
